Quick Facts About The Blacksheep Tearoom St Annes

The Blacksheep Tearoom St Annes Place has several strengths based on the comments provided. First, customers consistently praise the staff, describing them as super, polite, accommodating, and going above and beyond to provide great service. This positive feedback indicates that the tearoom has well-trained and friendly staff who prioritize customer satisfaction.
Another strength mentioned is the good choice from the menu and varied dishes/choices. This suggests that the tearoom offers a diverse range of food options, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. Customers also appreciate the reasonable prices, indicating that the tearoom provides value for money.
The fact that the tearoom is located just off the main street is another strength. This convenient location makes it easily accessible for customers and potentially attracts more foot traffic.
Furthermore, the tearoom is described as dog-friendly, as long as the dogs are well-behaved. This can be seen as a strength for pet owners who want to bring their furry friends along while enjoying a meal or a cup of tea.
Based on the comments, there are also several weaknesses that the tearoom should address. One recurring issue is the difficulty of getting staff attention and the long wait times. Customers mentioned struggling to get noticed and experiencing delays in receiving menus, drinks, and food. This indicates that the tearoom may have understaffing or communication issues that need to be resolved to improve the overall customer experience.
Another weakness mentioned is the quality and portion sizes of certain dishes. One customer complained about dry toast with no spread, small portions, and expensive prices compared to similar establishments in bigger cities. This suggests that the tearoom may need to improve the consistency and value of their food offerings.
The cramped seating arrangement is also highlighted as a weakness. Customers mention the tables being too close together, making it difficult to maneuver and creating an obstacle course-like experience. This issue should be addressed to provide a more comfortable and spacious dining environment.
Overall, The Blacksheep Tearoom St Annes Place has strengths in terms of its super staff, good menu choices, reasonable prices, convenient location, and dog-friendly policy. However, it also has weaknesses related to staff attentiveness, wait times, food quality and portion sizes, and seating arrangements. By addressing these weaknesses, the tearoom can further improve the overall customer experience and potentially attract more customers.

Best TL Reviews

Great little cafe, super staff. Good choice from the menu, varied dishes/choices.
Reasonable prices. Had cake to take out.
Situated just off the main street. Dog friendly, ( well-behaved ones anyway).
Met up with friends for lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed a prawn, avocado, mayo, sandwich with salad and crisps on side. It was yummy ????. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great menu and prices. Highly recommend
Loved it. Great food, polite service. Great breakfast.
I noticed this place a few days ago and decided to give it a try. All tables were reserved, but was told I could take a table until a certain time. No problem. I sat and waited to be given a menu. A while later and still no menu, tried to get someone's attention. Was asked if I was ready to order. I stated that I was still awaiting a menu. Was not asked if I would like to order a drink. A long time later was not asked if I wanted to order food. Very hard to get attention and had to partially stand to get noticed. A young waitress then came to take my order. I ordered a vegan breakfast. She asked me if I would like scrambled or poached eggs? I said fried, well done. Then I realised vegans don't eat eggs? Why was I asked this? Ordered an Americano and she asked with milk. I said no. It's usually served black other places.
So, a fairly long wait for the drink. And a very long wait for the food.
A small portion of food arrived. Mushrooms had large grains of crunchy rock salt. The toast was bone dry. No spread of any kind. Not even margarine. I asked for butter as they had no vegan spread. Food was very expensive for a small portion of mushrooms, two sausages, one tomato, beans, ketchup, and toast. I got charged extra for the toast, even though breakfast states it comes with sourdough toast?
Bread tasted nice, and coffee was the best thing that I tried there.
Not happy that breakfast here cost me more than Central London prices, given that we are nowhere near a city, and that London cafe portions are heaps bigger.
All staff serving were very young, and some new. Disinterested staff, totally inattentive. I was told to wait to be served, by a young girl when I tried to give her my order. She threw her arms up and said wait. Quite unprofessional really.
Well worth the visit for the coffee. This was reasonably priced for the quality.
Would have been nice to have friendly, and welcoming staff.
Apparently, this place has a roof terrace. I did not know or would have asked to see.
Looked decent. Busy, which is a good sign.
Weirdly they serve a BLT as a panini. Scorching tomatoes.
Overhead an apology to someone for their egg.(poached)? " Really sorry, but we had to change the water in the pan".
Asked if we wanted salt and pepper, and didn't get it.
Quite underwhelming and a long wait for 2 fairly basic dishes. (Assuming the hollandaise is the mcphie packet stuff).
Will not be going back, owners need to look at what they want their business to be.
Dropped in for an ice cream and a brew, the staff were very accommodating and the cafés prices were reasonable. Nice atmosphere, clean establishment. All good...
Ordered cheese on toast for 2 people. Toast hardly toasted and cheese was just a thin coating in the middle of the bread! asked for sauce, they had non and went out to come back with some in a large plastic bottle within minutes, gave us a tiny dish with less than a teaspoon full for 2 people. To cramped as tables are so close to each other, like a obstacle course going to the loo. Staff were polite but that was the only good thing about our visit.
Great food and great service.
Very pleasant team who went above and beyond to accommodate a large group.
