A visit to Litchfield wouldn't be complete without a visit to one of the oldest surviving pubs there. Steeped in history, it was where the Staffordshire Regiment was first raised in 1705. Now owned and run by the Regiment it is a wonderful legacy to all the men who have served. There are areas to those who sadly lost their lives and if you wish, you can buy and raise a glass and place it in their honour.
A lovely warm and inviting atmosphere it has lost none of it's charm. Friendly staff and great food served piping hot. Live music disabled access.
First time visit to the Kings Head, Lichfield a few weeks ago. This pub has an amazing atmosphere, extremely friendly with fabulous live music. If that is not enough, it is also owned by the Staffordshire Regiment, reminding us of the important history of those who have served. Definitely looking forward to my next visit.
We were looking for a dog friendly place to have a drink and came across the Kings Head. We had a very friendly greeting from a gentleman and the staff very attentive. On ordering the drinks we decided to try the Sunday lunch, it was home cooked, served quickly and great value for money. If you own a large dog they have plenty of room and were really made a fuss of with treats. So pleased we popped in and will certainly be back if we’ve visiting Lichfield again.
Sign says oldest pub in Litchfield. Lovely proper old pub, with bar stools and beer mats, a real pub feel about it that I haven't felt in 25+ years. Disabled access via ramp and disabled toilets provides. Friendly staff and quick service offering local ales too.
Everything a pub should be!! Good selection of beers, great atmosphere, live music, security were friendly, all made for a great night with friends ???? I’ve been here a few times and it never fails to bring people together for a great time!
