Quick Facts About The Langley Arms

The Langley Arms has a number of strengths that make it an attractive place to stay or dine. Firstly, many guests have commented on the friendly and welcoming nature of the staff. This is an important aspect of any establishment, as it can greatly impact the overall experience for guests. The staff at The Langley Arms seem to excel in providing a warm and pleasant environment for visitors.
Another strength highlighted by guests is the comfort of the beds and the size of the rooms. Comfortable beds are crucial for a good night's sleep, especially for travelers who may be weary after a long journey. The spacious rooms also contribute to a more relaxing and enjoyable stay.
In terms of dining, the Sunday carvery is highly acclaimed. It is described as "amazing" and "absolutely amazing" by guests, making it a standout offering at The Langley Arms. The food is beautifully cooked and the service is excellent and friendly. The positive feedback on the food and dining experience indicates that The Langley Arms is a great place to enjoy a meal.
One aspect that many guests appreciate is that The Langley Arms is an independently owned establishment rather than a chain. This adds a unique charm and character to the place, making it feel more authentic and distinct from the generic offerings of larger hotel chains. Guests seem to value the individuality and personality that comes with an independent establishment.
The Langley Arms is also considered to be good value for money. This is an important factor for many travelers, as they want to ensure they are getting a fair price for the quality of service and facilities provided. The Langley Arms seems to strike a good balance between affordability and quality.
However, despite these strengths, there are some weaknesses that have been identified by guests. One recurring issue is the state of the showers. Some guests have mentioned that the showers are in need of attention, with grouting issues, tiles hanging off, and a difficult-to-shut shower door. This can be a significant drawback, as a comfortable and functioning bathroom is essential for a pleasant stay.
Another weakness highlighted by guests is the outdated decor and unpleasant smell in certain areas of the establishment. This can detract from the overall experience and give the impression of an unkempt and neglected environment. Addressing these issues could greatly improve the ambiance and appeal of The Langley Arms.
The lack of food service on Monday nights has also been a cause for complaint among guests. After a long drive, guests expect to be able to have a meal without having to go elsewhere. This inconvenience may be a deterrent for some potential guests, especially those with specific dietary requirements or preferences.
Additionally, some guests have mentioned difficulties in finding The Langley Arms at night due to the sign not being turned on. This can cause frustration and inconvenience, especially for tired and weary travelers who just want to reach their destination.
In conclusion, The Langley Arms has a number of strengths that make it an appealing place to stay and dine. The friendly staff, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and excellent Sunday carvery are all positive aspects that contribute to an enjoyable experience. However, there are some weaknesses, such as issues with the showers, outdated decor, lack of food service on Monday nights, and difficulties finding the establishment at night. Addressing these weaknesses would greatly enhance the overall experience for guests and solidify The Langley Arms as a top choice for accommodation and dining.

Staff very nice, bed comfortable room a good size. Shower needs a bit of attention : grouting, tile hanging off and shower door very difficult to shut. Should also mention on the net that they do not serve food on a Monday night, after a four hour drive we had to go out again to eat! And dont forget to turn on the sign at night or impossible to find!
Oh we loved this place. A nice pub with 17th century rooms attached all of which has been swallowed up by a modern housing estate. We loved our room with creaky floorboards and its continental breakfast. Amazing front door!!! Recommend over the bland Premium Inns of this world. Good value too. DONT listen to the wingers below always looking for perfection, this is more than adequate.
Love the Sunday carvery here, that's the best bit about the Langley. Decor very out dated, smells old too. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.
Very underrated, brilliant steaks, perfectly cooked chips, decent prices. This is a proper local independently owned diamond in the rough!
Friendly welcome when I entered. Pleased with the burger would give that a close 5 stars. Bedroom was comfy , shame I had to listen to the cellar/ beer pumps air con running all night. As I have previously owned a Cleaning company I would say carpet in room 7 could do with a deep clean and attention needed to do a deep clean in bathroom on grout and around shower. Breakfast was served on time with a good self service choice and I had paid the small extra of £5 for a cooked breakfast which I was happy with worth the extra. So would have rated if room had been a touch cleaner and had been aware of air pumps
The food was beautifully cooked for our evening meal and the service was excellent and friendly too.
Camera essenziale e pulita.
Sunday roasts (carvery) is absolutely amazing! Highly recommended! Beer is good and cheaper than most pubs. And the staff are friendly.
