Best TL Reviews
Several restaurants we tried were closed as it was 3 pm. Popped in and asked if they had food, and we had one of the best meals of the trip! The mushroom soup was wonderful and the Thai salmon salad was delicious. They even had gluten free bread! Then we also ordered the cheese board to start and it was huge! Great cheeses, meats, crackers and grapes on pretty wood boards.
Lovley bar which serves a small fresh menue of food . its been refurbished from the last review photos we looked at its now clean bright and fresh and deffinatly worthy of more than 3.8 stars (which were due to reviews in the past pre refurbishment at a guess). The beers are excellent we loved the bearface hoppy lager, they have a wide selection also of local gins which are fantastic (and heaps of whisky too). We came here twice the food was great (and really reasonable) we had mac and cheese mine was with smoked haddock and very tasty, we had a cheeseboard for afters which was huge!!!! We were so full and the staff were so nice they boxed it up so we could enjoy it later. The pub is very dog friendly they bring out a water bowl and treats they even gave him some biscuits and a cute rug to lie on and he got loads of fuss. If i wasnt so full i would for sure have tried also the naughty crofter board i saw 4 teenages tucking into one it look awsome!!! Full of sweet treats.we were reccomended here from one of the local girls in the tourist info shop she said they have live music here also some evenings.
Nice place, nice food, great drink selection and pleasant staff
Went in as curious to see there offer of 2 meals for £10 on a Wednesday.
The food we had was good both having the Burgers with Chips coleslaw and salad. The chips were some of the best I've had in a long time. A couple of beers and coffee's still left us change from £30.
The Pub is a well renovated listed building with a lovely bar area serving Scottish Beers and Cider along with meals. It offers music in a upstairs function room on the weekend for a nominal charge.
Car parking is in a public carpark across the road also a taxi rank outside.
Knowledgeable and friendly bar staff. Nice place for a pint and gin and tonic for my wife.
Really nice decor much better after the refurbishment.
Quiet Monday. Beer expensive but really nice had a Ossian taste a bit like Adnams Ghost ship "lovely" Had the smoked salmon salad, huge plate, very tasty. Recommend a lemon meringue sorbet sundae again huge portion had to share. Staff friendly and calm nice chilled atmosphere.
One of the most unpleasant interactions with the owner! lovely staff, nice selection of spirits but the owner needs a change of attitude. In quite early for a few drinks, left with the group I was with and was refused entry to find a missing member of our group, practically pushed away from the door by a passive aggressive, rude woman and she told us she wanted "A more classy atmosphere with classy clientele" you're better off going to the sea angling club just so you don't have to have an interaction with this woman, won't be back and I urge others to avoid the place if they spot the owner.
Been in the downstairs a few times and 1 time up stairs. Each time we has fantastic times. Great selection of drinks and the band up stair were well worth the admission fee! Can't wait to get back in!
