Quick Facts About The Restaurant @ Warbreck

The Restaurant @ Warbreck place is a garden center restaurant that has undergone recent updates to its menu, decor, and overall dining experience. The comments provided highlight both strengths and weaknesses of the restaurant, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation.
One of the major strengths of The Restaurant @ Warbreck place is the quality of the food. Multiple comments mention the fabulous and tasty food, comparing it to restaurant a la carte standard. This indicates that the restaurant has successfully improved the quality of their dishes, moving away from the usual garden center snackery. The large portions and perfectly cooked meals are also praised, with one comment suggesting that the menu outclasses many 5-star restaurants. This demonstrates that the restaurant has succeeded in creating impressive and satisfying dishes.
Another strength of the restaurant is the recent update to its decor. Comments highlight the relaxing and comfortable atmosphere, with specific mention of the outside comfy seating for those who enjoy the sun. The updates have made the restaurant a more pleasant and enjoyable environment, contributing to the overall dining experience.
Customer service is another area where The Restaurant @ Warbreck place excels. The head chef is described as attentive and easy to talk to, indicating a high level of interaction and customer satisfaction. Polite and friendly staff are also praised, with one comment mentioning the excellent service received. Good customer service helps create a positive dining experience and encourages customers to return.
The comments regarding the anticipated Christmas menu suggest that the restaurant has successfully integrated seasonal flavors and dishes into its offerings. This indicates adaptability and willingness to provide new and exciting options for customers. The eagerness for the Christmas menu also suggests that the restaurant has created a sense of anticipation and appeal for returning customers.
However, there are also weaknesses pointed out in the comments. One customer mentions a decline in the quality of the food since the second lockdown, suspecting a different chef. They note less choice, especially for vegetarians, and a considerable increase in prices. This suggests that the restaurant may have experienced inconsistency in maintaining the quality and variety of their dishes, which can be off-putting for customers. If the restaurant aims to cater to a wide range of dietary preferences, including vegetarians, they should ensure they have sufficient options available.
Another comment mentions a disappointing dining experience, particularly regarding the food. The customer cites issues with overcooking, inappropriate flavor combinations, and attempts to make the food overly restaurant-quality. This indicates that the restaurant may be striving to achieve a level of sophistication that detracts from the essential quality and taste of their dishes. Focusing on delivering good, tasty, and simple dishes, as noted in the comment, may be more effective in satisfying customers.
There is also a comment highlighting difficulties with accessibility for disabled individuals. The lack of a clear path and signage may discourage disabled customers from visiting the restaurant, leading to potential loss of business.
Additionally, there is a negative review describing a frustrating experience where multiple menu items were unavailable. This indicates a lack of proper inventory management and communication among staff. Customers expect a restaurant to be prepared with the necessary ingredients and to notify them of any unavailability before ordering. Failing to meet these expectations can lead to disappointment and dissatisfaction.
In conclusion, The Restaurant @ Warbreck place has seen improvements in terms of food quality, decor, and customer service. The comments highlight these strengths, with customers expressing their enjoyment of the food, atmosphere, and interactions with staff. However, there are areas for improvement, such as maintaining consistent food quality, ensuring a diverse menu for all dietary preferences, addressing accessibility issues, and implementing better inventory management. By addressing these weaknesses, the restaurant can provide an exceptional dining experience for all customers and enhance its reputation.

Fabulous food. Really great after the new update. Thank god they've moved away from limp sandwiches, paninis, and the usual garden centre snackery.
The food is restaurant a la carte standard, very very tasty. Been about 6 times now. Trying to work our way through the lush food.
The update to the decor is relaxing and comfy.
The head chef is very attentive and easy to talk to.
Looking forward to the Christmas menu now.
Well done Warbreck for making the garden centre experience a Million times better.
I used to love having lunch here with my friends but since the second lock down it's changed. I suspect there's a different chef because the food is no where near as good. There's less choice, especially for vegetarians, and the prices have increased considerably. I've been three times since it reopened, in the hope there had been an improvement. Sadly I will not be going again.
Had lunch here pre COVID and the food was really good however went a couple of weeks ago and we were bitterly disappointed. The service and the staff were excellent I have to say, really friendly and polite. I ordered the roast beef dish and asked if the sauce came separately which I was told it would come in a small jug. It didn't. The whole dish was swimming in a branch sauce which was way too sweet and just didn't compliment the beef at all. The Yorkshire pudding was filled with red cabbage or something which want nice at all and the beef was overcooked. My wife ordered chicken and pesto but what arrived looked more like a chicken Bolognese and didn't taste great at all. Really feels like they're trying too hard to make the food restaurant quality rather than focusing on just delivering really good, tasty, simple dishes. Won't be back.
We travelled specially to the restaurant for lunch, as my daughter and son in law raved about the changes to both the restaurant and the menu.
We were definitely not disappointed.
The food was excellent, large portions and perfectly cooked.
The menu outclasses many 5 star restaurants we have eaten in before.
This is our new 'go to place to eat'.
Looking forward to the Christmas season when we'll be descending on masse for lunch.
We were really delighted with the new updates to the restaurant.
The decor is relaxing and comfortable with outside comfy seating for people who like the sun.
Whoever decided these changes were needed, well done. Not a sign of the usual garden centre 'coronation chicken spud', thank God.
The never ending redevelopment goes on. There was no easy path from the car park to the entrance. There also where no signs indicating the safe route. Internally it has become a maze as a disabled person this is very off putting. The young man who served us in the restaurant was wonderful and the food was good. We have been regular visitors for many years but I fear this will be our last visit.
We haven't been here for ages, and used to like the place. It does look nice and clean, and the waiting on staff are polite enough, however, the overall experience was so bad that it took these small positives down to 1 star. We ordered 3 jacket potatoes, a couple of paninis and a kids meal. The cost of the meals were quite a lot more than average, but did sound nice. About 10 minutes later, the waitress came back to inform us that they had ran out of jacket potatoes (this was surprising as it was before 2pm). We ordered a couple of different things, including a soup and a different panini. Once again, 10 minutes later, the waitress returned to say the panini's were pre-made and the one we wanted could not be made up, one of the soups had run out also. We cancelled the order and just left the kids meal and a single panini for the older child with us. Around 15 minutes later, the kids meal came, but no panini. No one came to check, but we called over a waitress who went to check on the missing meal. They had mistakenly cancelled all of the meals (a genuine mistake) so she said one will be out very shortly. We waited another 15 minutes at which point our youngest child had finished his meal but there was still no panini, and food was still coming out for other guests. After checking one final time to no avail, we ended up leaving, even though we'd paid for the panini. In fairness to the restaurant, they did give us some free drinks, but considering we'd already paid for an overpriced panini that we never got, we were very short changed.
Whilst this series of events may have been a one off. A relatively large restaurant like this needs their waiting on staff to know what meals are available before customers order, they need to stock more items, they need to be able to make adjustments to meals on their menu or be able to make things up fresh if they run out of food, particularly because the food is on the expensive side and they need to check that their customers have everything they need. It felt like a simple case of putting profits before experience and when that happens, people will stop coming.
Arranged an afternoon tea for my mum's birthday here today and Ross the manager catered to our specifications. The food was excellent, staff were brilliant. I would highly reccomend. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.
Had a pleasant surprise was taking Mum to hospital for a check up and thought I would take her for lunch any as the warbreck garden centre was near I thought we could go there what a nice surprise when we arrived as it's been referbished and got a new chef and menu and is table service only which is nice. The food was excellent and at a reasonable price. It was so good Mum wants to have here 90th birthday there next year. If you haven't been I recommend you do so I don't think you will be disappointed.
