Quick Facts About The Rising Sun Inn
The Rising Sun Inn has several strengths that make it a desirable place to visit. Firstly, it is a family-run pub, which often brings a warm and inviting atmosphere to the establishment. The fact that it is run by a family suggests that there is a personal touch to the service and a sense of pride in the quality of food and drinks served.
The comments also mention that the food and drinks at The Rising Sun Inn are good. This is a significant strength as it is a crucial aspect of any pub or restaurant. A positive dining experience can greatly contribute to customer satisfaction and create repeat business. The mention of having one of the best Sunday roasts and delicious food overall highlights the quality of the menu.
Another strength highlighted by the comments is the beer garden. When the weather is good, the beer garden is described as fantastic for families. This is a great advantage for customers who want to enjoy the outdoors while having a drink or meal. A well-maintained and spacious beer garden can attract a wide range of customers, especially during the summer months.
The comments also mention live entertainment at The Rising Sun Inn. This adds an extra dimension to the pub and can serve as a draw for customers who are interested in enjoying a night out with music or other performances. The mention of a choir and other entertainment options indicates that there is a varied lineup of events, catering to a diverse audience.
Additionally, the friendliness of the locals is highlighted in one of the comments. This suggests that The Rising Sun Inn has a welcoming and inclusive community atmosphere. Friendly locals can contribute to a positive overall experience for customers, making them feel more comfortable and likely to return.
However, there are some weaknesses that can be inferred from the comments as well. One of the comments mentions a disappointing experience during an entertainment night. The individual paid £10 and ended up in a room near the entrance, which made it difficult to access food and seating. The lack of seating and the man in charge's indifference to the situation was disappointing. This suggests a need for improvement in terms of managing events and ensuring that all customers have a enjoyable experience.
Another comment mentions issues with the dining experience. Problems such as not having a choice in roast options due to sold-out ingredients, a delay in drink service, and limited dessert options indicate a possible lack of organization and communication within the kitchen and front-of-house staff. Taking pre-orders, especially on busy days like Sundays, can help alleviate some of these issues and ensure a smoother dining experience.
Overall, The Rising Sun Inn has several strengths, such as being a family-run pub, serving good food and drinks, having a fantastic beer garden, and hosting live entertainment. However, there are areas for improvement, particularly in managing events and enhancing the dining experience through better communication and organization. By addressing these weaknesses, The Rising Sun Inn can further enhance its strengths and provide an even better overall experience for its customers.

Had one of the best Sunday roasts this weekend! Photos attached, you need to book in advance!
Entertainment nite Saturday 19th choir an something else. Paid £10 to end up in room near entrance couldn't get to food couldn't get through. No seating anywhere manage to get a seat not long before we left an no coat or drinks on table but the man in charge says thy be back fat table mind. Sorry if nothing there thy not coming. We did ask some chairs he made not attempt. So paid £10. To see nothing. Very disappointed. Disappointed 3 people .
I have no experience of this pub but my Brother goes weekly to have a pint and enjoy an evening of live music.
I have no experience of the dining but He say's it's good.
Food was good, however no choice in roast option due to the fact they'd sold out most of the chicken and beef before we arrived. We had to ask for spoons for serving the veggies, the drinks arrived after the food. The worst part was when we were asked if we were interested in ordering desserts and, after we all placed an order, the waitress came back apologising saying that most of our dessert choices had gone sold out.
I'd highly suggest taking pre-orders especially on a busy day such a Sunday and for a table which has been pre-booked. Disappointing.
The nicest pub, that has lots of hidden gems, very friendly staff and a lovely landlord, the food is absolutely amazing and have gone back a few times and with a variety of drinks available,it's a perfect place
Sunday lunch was ok. Incredibly small pudding turned out to be just the right size.
We recently moved to the area and was recommended to try this place by a local - it didn't disappoint! Wow! It absolutely has the wow factor! The beer garden was stunning - never seen one like it. Inside it carried on, the thought for design is clear.
We did eat here and have to say it was delicious. We had the soup of the day to start then the curry and lasagne. Both my husband and I were very impressed. We'll be back!
The service was above and beyond. Extremely friendly and polite, just what you'd expect from such a wonderful place. Thanks for a wonderful evening and making our date night even better.
