Quick Facts About The Royal Cafe

The Royal Cafe has received a mix of positive and negative reviews from customers. Although there are some strengths to the cafe, there are also some notable weaknesses that need to be addressed. In this analysis, we will examine the strengths and weaknesses of The Royal Cafe based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, it is evident that the cafe offers a wide variety of menu items at reasonable prices. Many customers appreciated the affordability of the food, indicating that it is a good value for money. Additionally, the portion sizes were mentioned as being generous, which can be appealing to customers who are looking for filling meals. Moreover, the cleanliness of the place was commended, suggesting that the cafe maintains a sanitary environment.
The staff at The Royal Cafe have also received positive feedback from some customers. They were described as "very nice and helpful", providing assistance and recommendations when needed. The friendly nature of the staff was appreciated, especially by customers who were visiting the area and looking for guidance. Furthermore, the prompt service was acknowledged, with orders being prepared correctly and served hot and fresh.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one common complaint among customers was the noise level in the cafe. One commenter described it as "ein wenig laut" (a little loud), which suggests that the noise can be disruptive to the dining experience. This could potentially deter customers who are seeking a calm and peaceful environment.
Another major weakness highlighted by customers is the inconsistent quality of service. While some customers praised the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, others expressed disappointment with their experiences. There were instances of staff being rude, abrupt, or inattentive. One commenter mentioned that the owner used to be lovely but the overall service has gone downhill. It is important for the management to address these issues and ensure that all staff members provide consistent and pleasant service.
In terms of the food, there were a few negative reviews regarding the quality and preparation of certain dishes. Comments included undercooked eggs, cold toast, overcooked bacon and mushrooms, and mixed and cold beans and tinned tomatoes. These complaints indicate that there may be inconsistencies in the kitchen, resulting in subpar food being served to customers. It is crucial for the kitchen staff to improve their skills and maintain consistency in the quality of food.
Furthermore, several customers noted a lack of attention to detail and common courtesy from the staff. Comments such as not being asked about the meal, not receiving an "enjoy your meal" greeting, and not being offered condiments like mayonnaise highlight the need for improved customer service. Such small gestures can significantly enhance the overall dining experience and make customers feel valued and appreciated.
In conclusion, The Royal Cafe has some strengths, including reasonable prices, a variety of menu items, generous portions, and a clean environment. The staff, when friendly and attentive, have also received positive feedback. However, there are several weaknesses that need to be addressed, such as the noise level, inconsistent service quality, and issues with food preparation. Additionally, attention to detail and common courtesy from the staff can go a long way in creating a positive dining experience. By addressing these weaknesses and building upon its strengths, The Royal Cafe has the potential to improve and attract more satisfied customers.

Ein wenig laut, aber gut und günstig
Very nice place got my order right first time food was amazing tea was lovely.
Staff are every friendly helping me out on were is a nice place to go look at or for bars for a person who not local here is the place for you.
Plenty of menu items and very reasonably priced . Staff are very nice and helpful. Food was delicious and served hot n fresh . Big portion size . Can't fault it . Place is also very clean . Definitely returning.
Disappointed with the service went with my partner around dinner time and was not busy. The young male who served us was not friendly and abrupt. Charged us extra for a can but stated they will just swap the tea and coffee for a can. Been before and the owner was lovely sad to see it’s went down hill
What amazing food.... we had chicken kebab with salad chips and onion rings and WOW!! the taste was fantastic!!! Perfectly cooked chicken and the portion size was brilliant I couldn't finish mine. Will definitely be coming again xx
Went today with my partner , was very happy with price...But the food not happy at all. £8.50 for two breakfasts and two tea's But the toast was cold the eggs were undercooked on top and had to send them back to cook a bit more then when we got out breakfasts back the tomatoes and beans were really cold? We didn't send it back a second time as the first waitress pulled a face the first time we did it. Won't be returning, sorry.
Went today with my mum and dad. They've both been before and enjoyed the food. I ordered a wrap meal and it was very nice so I can't rate down the food. However.... And I really hope this is seen by the staff! My dads food came followed a few minutes later by my mums. Around TEN minuite later when my mum and dad had pretty much finished mine arrived. We didn't get an "enjoy your meal" or "can I get you anything else" (I'd have quite liked some mayonnaise had I being given the chance to ask) but no off she went back to the kitchen where we didn't see or hear from her again. There's certain common courtesy traits that are needed in a customer environment such as a cafe. The service I got was terrible. It's only small things that need fixing but those small things such as a please and thank you from staff with be the difference in wether people come back.
We always try to support independent businesses, went in for breakfast today.
2 Full English. 2 tea. Under £9. Not bad. BUT.
1 sausage, small , little overdone, but the highlight! 1 tiny piece of bacon which was so overcooked, it snapped when you tried to get it on the fork, mushrooms, all 4 where cooked within an inch of their life, egg, crispy bottom, snotty undercooked yolk, and the beans and tinned tomatoes where mixed together , and cold. The toast arrived 5 minutes before the meal, and the tea, well, served in cups that were no bigger than a kids tea set
I would really not recommend this place, no one asked how the meal was, even though barely ate anything, and the staff clearly saw this, but never asked. Go to spoons, across the road, you'll not regret it.
