Quick Facts About The Sandy Bay Inn

The Sandy Bay Inn has a mix of strengths and weaknesses, as mentioned in the comments provided. In terms of strengths, it is mentioned that the staff at the inn are good and the drinks are of good quality. Additionally, the presence of funny communists who interact with the crowd every few days adds to the entertainment value of the place. Furthermore, having an arcade connected to the inn allows patrons to engage in gaming activities.
Another positive aspect mentioned is that the inn is described as family-friendly, providing shade from the sun. The presence of a nice manager also adds to the positive experience for patrons. Moreover, its location is praised as being brilliant, with potential to be competitive with other well-known establishments if improvements are made.
However, the comments also highlight several weaknesses and areas that require improvement. Some patrons feel that the inn is dirty and out of fashion, lacking in cleanliness and style. It is also stated that the inn tends to attract a large crowd despite being a small place, which may result in a cramped and crowded environment.
The proximity of the inn to loud establishments such as bars, shops, arcades, and fairs is also mentioned as a downside. This could lead to a noisy atmosphere, potentially diminishing the overall experience for some patrons. The comments also indicate that the toilets in the inn need renovation, as they are described as smelling bad and having concerns about the floor tiles.
One specific complaint highlighted in the comments is the poor table service, with one customer stating that they experienced almost non-existent service and eventually left after 45 minutes of waiting. Sticky tables are also mentioned, indicating a lack of cleanliness in this aspect of the inn.
The food at The Sandy Bay Inn receives negative feedback from one commenter, who describes it as the most awful food they have ever eaten. Frozen cod portions that break easily when cut and low-quality kids' pizza are mentioned as examples. The overcooked and frozen nature of the chips is also criticized. The high cost of the meals in relation to their poor quality is also emphasized.
The need for a refurbishment is another recurring complaint. The comments mention that the carpet appears to be old, and the toilets are described as shocking. Additionally, one person felt that the price of the pint was not justified given the quality of the establishment.
Another area of concern is the condition of the toilets, which are described as disgusting and the worst encountered by one customer. Their partner was unable to use them, resulting in their departure from the inn.
While it is mentioned that there are amusements for children in the back of the inn, it is also stated that the environment can be rough and the entertainment can be crude, potentially making it less suitable for kids.
In conclusion, The Sandy Bay Inn has strengths such as good staff and drinks, as well as the presence of amusing entertainers and an arcade. However, it also has weaknesses in terms of cleanliness, outdated decor, poor table service, subpar food quality, and the need for a refurbishment. The noisy surroundings and the state of the toilets are also areas of concern. Improvements in these areas could enhance the overall experience at The Sandy Bay Inn.

Family friendly cool pub, shade from th sun. Nice manager
Brilliant location could be in league with Moreton stones and knightlys if they worked for it. The table service is almost non existent, was dirty when visited was told about social distancing left after 45minutes of no service also tables were sticky.
Seriously the most awful food I've ever eaten! Don't expect a lovely freshly battered fish by the coast at this place as all you get are frozen cod portions and even they're over cooked and break when you try and cut it! The kids pizza are the ones you buy 10 for a pound at your local supermarket, chips are frozen and over cooked!! I cannot stress enough that the food in this place is shocking 3 adult meals and 2 kids meals cost £30 and seriously wasn't worth half of that. Sorry Sandy bay but this really needs to be addressed.
Needs a refurb.Carpet was older than me, toilets were shocking, pricey pint for what it was
decent pint, good entertainment (most of the time) just wish they'd do something with the toilets there absolutely disgusting.
Pool table ia knackered beer is ok but the toilets are the worst I’ve ever encountered my mrs simply couldn’t use them so we had to leave
Has amusements in the back of this club for the kids, it's a bit rough but had a lot of fun in here entertainment was a bit crude bit much for kids
