Lovely pub with a relaxed atmosphere, great decor of old photos and memorabilia. Menu had something for everyone and good prices. We ordered the carved ham,tomato and pickle sandwich with gourmet chips,it was scrummy. Staff were friendly,pleasant and helpful and very diligent with their work. My kind of pub,definitely recommended and will be returning soon.????????????????????????????
Rather surprisingly decent food in the day time, well worth a visit if you're in town and want the most legit plowmans around! the selection of burgers is good too. I like the swan in the daytime quite a lot

Just finished our breakfast which was served nice and hot with good service. The only criticism I've got, no black pudding which should have been on our meal. The excuse that the supplier had not left any on the last delivery, no alternative offered no real apologies.

Lovely staff ... Very considerate of gluten free vegan needs. Chef made a lovely salad for me as he thought I couldn't eat the chips because they are fried in a fryer in which they fry gluten containing products. Very impressive consideration for his diner.
