Quick Facts About Vintage Tea Room

Vintage Tea Room is a small tea house that has received positive comments about the friendly service, delicious food, and lovely decor. However, there are also some comments highlighting weaknesses in terms of service and ordering system.
One of the strengths of Vintage Tea Room is its friendly service. Customers have mentioned that the staff is welcoming and accommodating, even going out of their way to find them a table when it appeared that there were none available. This kind of personalized service contributes to a positive dining experience and makes customers feel valued.
Another strength is the quality of the food. Customers have praised the taste and portion sizes of the flapjack, brownie, scones with cream and jam, as well as the cakes and coffee. This signals that the tea room takes care in sourcing and preparing high-quality ingredients, resulting in delicious and satisfying treats.
The decor of Vintage Tea Room is another strength mentioned in the comments. Customers appreciate the use of real China tea cups, sugar bowls, and milk jugs, which adds a touch of elegance and charm. Additionally, the tea room has a small shop selling home accessories, which customers have found to be great for finding unusual and interesting gifts. This added feature adds to the overall experience and provides customers with a unique shopping opportunity.
On the other hand, there are weaknesses mentioned by some customers that should be addressed. One of the weaknesses is the service. One customer mentioned experiencing a lengthy wait time and being ignored by the staff. This lack of attentiveness and disregard for customers can create a negative impression and detract from the overall dining experience. Furthermore, a customer mentioned an issue with the ordering system, with the head lady being confused about the amount owed and charging the incorrect amount. This highlights a lack of organization and proper training among the staff, which can lead to frustration and dissatisfaction among customers.
In terms of seating, another weakness of the Vintage Tea Room is the limited seating inside. While some customers have mentioned that there is additional seating available outside, it can be inconvenient for those who prefer to dine indoors or during unfavorable weather conditions. Additionally, there is a comment about the toilet being located downstairs, which may pose difficulty for individuals with mobility issues or those who prefer easily accessible facilities.
Despite these weaknesses, the positive comments about the tasty food, friendly service, and lovely decor indicate that Vintage Tea Room still has several strengths that contribute to its overall appeal. Addressing the weaknesses mentioned, such as improving the service and ordering system, as well as considering ways to expand the seating options, could further enhance the dining experience for customers. Overall, Vintage Tea Room seems to have potential as a charming and welcoming establishment in Buxton.

Nettes kleines Teehaus . Freundliches Service. Zum empfehlen.
We had a flapjack, brownie and scone with cream and jam, really enjoyed them.
Its ia small tea room with limited seating inside ,but there is some outside available too. Toilet downstairs (steep), plenty of ventilation and a small shop selling home accessories.
Brought my friend from Ipswich in for coffee and cake.
It was delicious.
Coffee was just right and cake was amazing. Definitely don’t skimp on portions ????.
The decor is lovely and the little shop is great for unusual gifts.
Will definitely revisit.
Super friendly tea rooms in the heart of Buxton. Real China tea cups, sugar bowls and milk jugs, makes a nice change!
Incorporates a lovely gift shop, with lots of unusual interesting items( don’t forget to check out the basement ????)
Excellent and what service !!
We visited whilst in Buxton with our little dog we looked in the window trying not to stare but couldn't see any free tables do we walked on. A lady duly ran out and shouted that they had a table and we went in. Had a lovely cream tea in a cafe where time has stood still.
Well worth a visit
Not great service. Visited yesterday. Ordered a cappuccino and a tea (after not being acknowledged for far too long waiting patiently no customers at counter.) Head lady said £8.30 - me puzzled- then oops no £5.30 - ok better -and advised we were sitting outside. Waited and waited????‍♀️ only a few tables taken inside so not busy. Went back inside to enquire- all staff just walking to and fro completely ignoring me . Still not busy with customers. Head lady faffing about with an apparently leaky paper takeaway cup for a customer. Again waited and waited ????‍♀️ . Eventually Head lady who had taken my card payment acknowledged me ( as a new customer) I asked where my order was. Oops again. Got our drinks eventually. Checking my account today £8.30 taken. Not impressed - I just tapped as didn't have my readers on. Lesson learned. Got into a conversation with another customer who'd just ordered . Agreed service not good (she had worked in catering as I had). Staff clearly not trained properly. Head lady rude to the girls. Ordering system chaotic. Spoilt the visit to a unique Tea room. And believe me I've been to a few. Really glad I didn't order lunch too. Sorry but true ☹️
Yet another discovery on our travels that serves excellent tea and cake. Very pleasant atmosphere and would thoroughly recommend.
Lovely Cake & Coffee stop. Great after a long walk
