This place is a complete joke .! Nasty and out dated on the inside. The owner canceled on me after having me waiting for 30 minutes outside for a 930am appointment.she asked if I could come back at 230pm. She offered me ten dollars off of my hair style lmao what a joke.! I declined that offer .Do not patronize this business.! The owner constantly forgets appointments made days before hand. She’s rude and unprofessional. She’s greedy and quite frankly her work isn’t even all that, braids will fall out after only a week install. She talks every loud while on the phone and she allows people to come in the shop to harass you to buy knock offs
Don't patronize this place. The owner Anne did my hair and these are the results. I paid for medium box braids. I fault myself for not looking at my hair throughly. She put a rubber band after she completed it and the back was down so I didn't notice this hot mess until I put it in a ponytail. Everyone asked me did I see the back of my hair. At this time I noticed. I won't even mention how clearly you can see my hair sticking from the braids. When I sent the pictures to her she tried to say say her sister may have done my hair. No it was her. She offered to redo it for a few dollars less but I won't ever go back there.
They ALWAYS do a great job on my hair! I have yet to be disappointed. I'm just really timely. Sometimes I have to wait even with an appointment.
I came into this shop for box braids. After 10 braids or so I notice the lady that was doing my hair was not tucking my hair. I asked her could she try to tuck my hair more and she started saying she wasn’t going to do my hair any more and call my ride, and begin taking my hair down so I told her ok and stood up and told her I can take my own hair down, she then took scissors and started cutting the braids out my hair. After I told her not to longer touch my head I can take the hair down myself. Then she walked up to me again and started taking clips out my head. WORST experience ever!!!!!! Don’t go here they’re extremely rude !!!!!!! And they are didn’t even have any mask on.
I have taken my daughter to get her hair braided a few times no problems. However on Jan 10th I took my daughter to get her hair braided before she returned to College my daughter told the lady who owns the shop that she did not want long twist and showed her a picture. The lady told me that her hair was to long for the bob so my daughter asked if she could have the style just shoulder length she said ok she could do it. My daughters hair looks nothing like the picture it is cut uneven. There is no part it looks like she braided it for long length and cut it. It looks like my daughter has a bad wig on her head. And they braided on her edges when I clearly asked not to .When we got halfway home my I was told that she does not like her hair and did not want to be rude. I called the next morning when they opened and told the owner that my daughter hated her hair and she said she showed me a picture I said do you really think that looks like the picture and asked how she was going to fix this- she tells me she will call me back and has not. I wasted 180.00 if she could not have done it she should have said something and I would have had my daughter get them long.. Now my daughter refuses to go to school with her hair looking like that and is taking it down to get someone else to braid it. I will NEVER go there again not because of the style but because of how
unprofessional she handled the situation.
UPDATE: After this review was written I called back and the owner returned my call I was told to bring my daughter in. After a brief altercation and I was taking my daughter out, the stylist called someone who asked my what happened long story they agreed to redo my daughters hair- not to take advantage of the situation I asked that they box braid in the back and French Braid at the top... my daughter loves it.
Been going to this place for years. I've gotten knotless braids at this shop 3 times. This particular time the lady told me she couldn't do my knotless because of my short edges. Mind you she was the one who did them the last time and my edges were shorter & broken off smh they definitely lost a frequent customer
I went there on July 12th to get a hairstyle which she said (the owner) she can do, but instead I had to wait, about 30 minutes for another braider to come in. I asked her the same question can she do the hairstyle, I showed her. She said yes, I asked her can you please don't braid my edges so tight because I would like to keep them. She said ok. 5 hours later my hair was so tight I knew that my edges were going to fall out smh. They're very unprofessional, argumentative, and In deniable, my hair wasn't like the hairstyle I asked for, but it was close so I was okay with. What I wasn't okay with my brain being braided so tight. I WILL NEVER go back there my edges are GONE I should have known because the stylist didn't have any edges smh. If you love your edges DON'T go there. I called the shop 2 days later because I couldn't take it. All they (the owner and the stylist ) wanted to do was argue saying I did not say I didn't wanted my edges braided right (which is common sense). So I say either way if I did or didn't (but I did indeed say I didn't but whatever) what does that have to do with my edges being GONE. She continues (the stylist) to argue about me saying that I didn't say I wanted them braided smh 3 days later I'm taking them down and like I said my edges are GONE !!
On April 27th I took my daughter to this shop to her hair done . I sent the owner a picture of the style I wanted and asked her repeatedly can she do it . she said yes I can. I left came back she doing so braids straight to the back. I nicely told her that's not the style I wanted for her. I showed her the picture again and asked her can she do it, knowing that my daughter hair was nappy. If she can't just let me know I will pick a different style. She said yeah she can still do it. After she couldn't get it she than had another worker try it. Never less the style came out to be messed up. My daughter bun was bogus and I asked nicely if they could fix it. She said no call the police. I said why would I call the police for when I'm trying to settle it like a grown woman. She yelled at me and I left out. 10 minutes later called me to come back so she can fix it . not once did I disrespect her because I had my daughter with me, I didn't want my daughter to see been ignorant. My daughter hated her hair. I paid $100 for something someone in hair school could have done much better. They was very rude.
