I’ve been bringing my 87 year old mom to Avenue Nails for the past 2 and a half years. They are WONDERFUL with her- especially Sam who goes above and beyond in his service for her. They do great work, efficiently when you need it, and more luxuriously when you want to relax. I highly recommend.
I will say I actually liked my nails in the end but they had poor costumer service and my toes were poorly done and messy, the lady didn’t not layer the polish enough and shaped my toes any type of way and she was acting as if she didn’t want to massage my feet properly. I for one do not prefer all of the talking and laughing while my nails are being done but I can not control anyone but while doing so the nail tech broke two of my real nails because they were rushing through them. I understand if you are closing soon but if so do not tell people that they can still come in and welcome them with rolling eyes and attitudes even after I thanked them for taking me so late. Also I feel that it is very unprofessional to pressure a costumer to add a tip after them expressing why they did not add one in the first place and giving advice moving forward. I am not saying don’t try their service but these were my thoughts on the shop and they have some things they should work on, on a more professional level.
I walk in at 7:30p assuming plenty of time for a pedicure and full set since they close at 8:30p. I noticed they had a few customers and about 3 employees minimum not servicing anyone and no one getting pedicures. They would not service me because they stated “we take our last customers at 7:30p.” I asked if they can at least do one service, the employees spoke back and forth and was hesitant. I walked out. I only went here as a last resort since there was not another salon open nearby at that hour. Should have followed my first mind…I will not be returning!
I’ve been here a few times now and my nails always come out great! Price is a little higher but service is great and usually no wait time. They have lots of colors to pick from. They are also clean and their employees wear masks.
I've had my share of not great manicures and can deal with them, but this was too much. The photos tell a lot of the story, but the manicurist also filled my nails down to nubs, so I've gotta wait weeks to even have them look somewhat decent where they can be fixed.
Do not go here EVER. Horrible customer service and even worse product. I absolutely hate reviewing small businesses poorly but this was truly the worse salon experience of my life.
There were bubbles ALL OVER my pedicure. The "prep" last LITERALLY 30 seconds. The total pedicure was ~5 mins. Lady doing my toes had absolutely no f*cks to give and was haphazardly putting polish on and coloring outside the nail, and not even wiping it off. Was completely unresponsive to requests to clean it up. I went home and had to redo them myself because it was so horrendous.
Not to mention the floors were incredibly slippery. They even SAW that I was literally slipping and gave no apologies or even to wipe the floor down. Extreme safety hazard.
I was going to get a mani too, but saw how they just drilled down my existing gel mani and left an insane amount of gel in my nails. I stopped them before the polish and left.
Do NOT go here! Extremely rude, terrible service, and safety hazard!
The quality here is usually pretty good. I just got a pedicure for the first time since before the pandemic. I had the younger male nail tech and he gave a great long massage for the regular price.
My cousin brought me here to enjoy a nice manicure and pedicure and unfortunately my pedicure literally took only 6 or 7 minutes! Ridiculous! I’m shocked this place was pack. The ladies there are very rude! It seem they were whispering to each other about each client. If they are saying something to each other then yes, Most likely they are talking about you! Luckily my cousin and I made the best out the situation so we did enjoy our nail color but that was all. Their concern is not customer service but your money! Don’t come here! Plenty of other great nail salons around the area.
