First visit late on a Friday night. The staff were fabulous, friendly and helpful. A very good choice of gins, where I was able to try one that was new to me. It's located at the top corner of Botchergate so perfect for watching the world go by. Located opposite the Citadel it's a great first stop off the bus or train. It's a small bar, but set out well to maximise space. It was clean and tidy too. As it was still warm we chose to sit outside, where staff checked on our needs and advised us of last orders. I am definitely going to visit again as I feel I could easily while away time relaxing here.
Very good bar , as I walked down the Road 50 different people tried offering to come into their bar/Club but they can’t take answer for a no , However this one didn’t ask us to come in , And we were really welcomed into this bar would give a 5 stars only the only bar you want to visit is this ! highly recommended!
A very well situated pub in the centre of Carlisle opposite the railway station . Since my last visit the toilets have been upgraded and this is an improvement as previously this let the establishment down. A good selection of beers which are well kept. Friendly staff . Not the cheapest drink but quality was good.
Me and my friend visited this place earlier this week. We were looking for a safe place to leave our luggages while visiting Carlisle city. We were advised at the train station to go to this bar so we did :-) there was absolutely amazing and very friendly staff who took our heavy bags and kept them safe. We could enjoy our city walk and later on we actually had some drinks before our train was scheduled. I seriously would like to recommend this bar not only for your luggage storage but also for drinks and having a good time there :-)
Best bar in Carlisle imo . As other reviews mention , staff are very friendly and nothing is any trouble . Great location to watch the town go by , very clean and cosy place . Keep up the good work bar solo ????
During an unplanned stay in Carlisle we ended up here for a few beers. We were already shattered from walking all day although the atmosphere soon took over and we were up dancing and enjoying the night!

1st visit here won't be the last fabulous bar man was great and belongs to local band who played at Glastonbury but he didn't tell us the bar lady did he didn't brag, both were lovely to chat to. One old man was coming in with a walker they got to open the door for him. Great place
While I did enjoy the place I’m a bit put off in all honesty! I’m pretty sure I was recently in passing a new member of staff was asleep in the flower beds ? If it wasn’t and I’m mistaking a random party goer on a rough night then I do apologise but I’m quite certain! Very unprofessional! The atmosphere is sort of off recently? I can’t put a finger on it but I miss it, old times with the girls there were the best! Hope I can find myself back some time eventually as it is such a lovely building!
