Quick Facts About Beaches & Cream
Beaches & Cream has several strengths and weaknesses, as mentioned in the comments above.
One of the strengths of Beaches & Cream is its friendly staff. Multiple commenters mentioned the friendly service they received, describing the staff as polite, accommodating, and nice. This positive customer service creates a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and enhances their overall experience at the cafe.
Another strength of Beaches & Cream is its great selection of food. One commenter specifically mentioned the variety of vegetarian options available, which shows that the cafe caters to different dietary preferences. Additionally, homemade coleslaw and good cake were praised in the comments, indicating that the food is made fresh and of good quality. This diverse and tasty menu helps attract customers and keeps them coming back for more.
The affordability of the food and drinks at Beaches & Cream is also a strength. One commenter stated that the ice cream was a good price, while another mentioned that the orange hot chocolate was amazing. Offering reasonably priced items allows the cafe to appeal to a wider range of customers and encourages them to try different products on the menu.
Despite these strengths, Beaches & Cream also has some weaknesses that are worth noting. One weakness is the lack of dog-friendliness. As one commenter mentioned, the cafe is not dog friendly, which can be a limitation for dog owners who want to enjoy a meal or a drink with their furry companions. This can potentially deter a portion of the customer base, especially in an area that is popular for beach walks and outings with pets.
Another weakness is the waiting time for food. One commenter stated that they had to wait 40 minutes for their food to arrive, which they considered to be quite long. Additionally, another commenter mentioned that there were two serving points, one for inside dining and another for outside or take away, and both were busy. This suggests that the kitchen might struggle with managing a high volume of orders, leading to delays and potentially impacting the overall customer experience.
In terms of the food itself, there were some mixed reviews. While one commenter enjoyed their meal and found it delicious and piping hot, another commenter found their food to be average. Cold bacon and crumpets that appeared store-bought were specifically mentioned as disappointing aspects of the meals. These inconsistencies in food quality might indicate that there is room for improvement in terms of consistency in preparation and serving of dishes.
In conclusion, Beaches & Cream has several strengths, such as its friendly staff, great selection of food, and affordability. However, there are also weaknesses, including the lack of dog-friendliness, waiting time for food, and inconsistencies in food quality. These strengths and weaknesses should be considered by potential visitors when deciding whether to dine at Beaches & Cream.

Had a stroll on the beach and elderly with us wanted a coffee. The place is not dog friendly so I took another stroll. My daughter couldn't resist the ice-cream, scrambled eggs , hot chocolate for me and whipped cream for Peanut (dog). We sat out and ate our food. Drizzling but who cares we were prepared, yummy food ????????
Visiting here on a wet bank holiday, it was busy but all the staff were very friendly, a great selection of food including vegetarian options, homemade coleslaw was very nice, good cake and tea too
Breakfast for 3 (2 adults 1 child) £27 with one drink each. We had to wait 40mins for our food, and unfortunately I’d have to say when it did arrive it was very average.
My wife had a full English, which looked great - but beans and bacon stone cold. My daughter had crumpets and butter, which were warm at best and looked like something you’d buy in a packet of 6 from Asda (but here we paid something like £2.60!) I had poached eggs on toast with a side of bacon. Eggs were pretty good, bacon was cold.
There’s 2 different serving points, one for those eating inside and another serving point for those eating outside or for take away. Both were pretty busy and I just don’t think the kitchen could cope with the volume of orders.
Coffees are small as standard, americano or cappuccino can be upped to a large - which is better. We both had large cappuccinos and the coffees were very good.
Amazing place to have a drink or a bite to eat. The orange hot chocolate was absolutely amazing!
Absolutely lovely place, popped by for an ice cream and the woman who served me was really polite and the ice-cream is a good price. Really enjoyed it.
What a lovely place......the gingerbread latte was lovely......with a good selection of other coffee's..... and the cakes, well I couldn't decide they all looked divine......I decided on the apple pie.....which was absolutely gorgeous....the staff are very nice and accommodating.....a comfortable clean café!
It's a small place, but comfy. I had never being there before, but it's popular the cafe was packed. Everything is made fresh, so you have to wait, but you are warn when you're place your order. When our order arrive, it was delicious. It was piping hot & we enjoyed it. So it was a nice day at Cullercoats.
After we went to the play area. The photos are from that day in the play area. Lovely on a bright Saturday afternoon for the kids & parents
Great cafe on the sea front, very very busy but I was lucky to get a table at the back. Perfect spot, even for just myself.
