Quick Facts About Bellamys Bistro
Bellamy's Bistro has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. One of the most frequently mentioned strengths is the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the hosts and staff. Customers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, which contributes to a pleasant dining experience. Additionally, customers note that the restaurant is family-friendly, with a selection of dishes that cater to different preferences, including local seafood. The provision of an etch-a-sketch for children is also valued by families.
Another strength of Bellamy's Bistro is the quality and variety of the food. Customers repeatedly praise the menu choice, as well as the specials board. The extensive menu offers something for everyone, including steak pie, seafood chowder, garlic mushrooms, prawn cocktail, profiteroles, Eton mess, crab sandwich, white sauce mussels, and more. Customers particularly highlight the deliciousness and quality of the food, with comments such as "great food" and "lovely food and very nice atmosphere." The British cooking is especially noted as being exceptional, with one customer stating that it was the best they had experienced so far.
Portion sizes and affordable pricing are also considered strengths of Bellamy's Bistro. Customers mention that the portions are full and that there is no skimping on serving sizes. Additionally, many customers note that the prices are reasonable, making it an accessible option for dining out.
The location and decor of the restaurant also contribute to its strengths. Bellamy's Bistro is described as a "great little place" with a cosy and amiable atmosphere. Despite being a small establishment, customers note that it does not feel cramped. The restaurant is located in Sandown and is considered one of the best in the area, with customers recommending it to others.
However, there are a few weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One customer notes that Bellamy's Bistro often gets fully booked, requiring customers to wait a few days for a reservation. This implies that it may be challenging to secure a table, and potential customers may need to plan in advance or consider making a reservation well ahead of time. Another weakness mentioned is that the restaurant may not be suitable for those with prams, as fire regulations may prevent their entry. This limitation could potentially deter families with young children who require a pram to visit the restaurant.
In summary, Bellamy's Bistro has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. These strengths include the warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, extensive menu with delicious and high-quality food, full portion sizes and reasonable pricing, family-friendliness, and a cosy and amiable atmosphere. However, potential weaknesses include the need for reservations in advance due to high demand and the restriction on entry for those with prams. Overall, Bellamy's Bistro is highly recommended by customers for its excellent dining experience.

This place was recommended so we booked but had to wait a few days as they were full. Duly arrived for dinner, lovely warm welcome by hosts, fab menu choice and specials board. Amiable atmosphere, cosy feel but not cramped even though it's a small place. We had 3 courses but ate mains before I remembered to take a pic so only starter and puds attached. Full portions, no skimping, delicious and well cooked - garlic mushrooms, prawn cocktail, profiteroles and Eton mess; with wine and beer, quite reasonably priced. Definitely recommend this place, a great find in Sandown run by a lovely Brum couple ????
Friendly and helpful stuff. Great food. I have eaten in few restaurants at Sandsdown and this one was the best. Highly recommended.
Lovely food great service, very friendly stafg
Great little place - good variety on the menu, friendly helpful staff. I had a very tasty steak pie one night and an excellent sea food chowder another. Reasonably priced. Might need to book some nights.
The knickerbocker glory and sticky toffee pudding is highly recommended if you have room!
Lovely food and very nice atmosphere! My boyfriend said it’s the best British cooking so far. He is quite picky about food and I rarely hear such a high comment from him about the restaurants we ate in. If you are travelling in Sandown beach, definitely worth coming for coffee or meal. The crab sandwich, white sauce mussels and coffee lattee is highly recommended!
Whilst doing a walk round the block we found Bellamy's, and what a truly fabulous find. The best welcoming and friendly hosts/staff. A very extensive menu. Food was fresh and cooked to order. A really enjoyable evening. Such a shame we found it the night before we go back home. We would definitely come back here when we return the the island. Wishing you continued success with you amazing businesd
A lovely restaurant that is family friendly. A huge selections of dishes. Including local seafood. Kids were given an etch-a-sketch to keep them entertained. You will need to book to get in here and those with little ones in in prams won't be able to come here due to fire regulations so if you have a little one who sits up and a buggy that folds up, you can be accommodated.
