Quick Facts About Bombay Brasserie
Bombay Brasserie is a popular Indian restaurant in Boston, known for its food and service. While there are positive comments highlighting the strengths of the restaurant, such as the great food, accommodating service, and friendly staff, there are also negative comments highlighting weaknesses, including rude and condescending service, missing items, high prices, lack of social distancing measures, and substandard food quality and taste.
One of the strengths mentioned by several comments is the great food at Bombay Brasserie. Customers consistently praise the taste, spiciness, and freshness of the dishes. The comment "Simply the best Indian food in Boston" highlights the high quality of the food. Another comment mentions that the restaurant offers tasty and spicy food with speedy delivery, indicating that their takeaway service is also commendable.
The accommodating service of Bombay Brasserie is appreciated by many customers. The comment mentions that the staff, including the girl at the till and the funny waiter, were very helpful and accommodating. The manager is mentioned to walk around and check if customers are happy and enjoying their food. This attentiveness to customer satisfaction is seen as a positive aspect of the restaurant.
Consistency is also highlighted as a strength of Bombay Brasserie. Customers mention that the food is consistently good, regardless of whether they visit tonight or in a month's time. This consistency is seen as a desirable trait in a restaurant, as it ensures that customers can rely on the quality of the food whenever they visit.
Despite these strengths, there are negative comments that highlight weaknesses in Bombay Brasserie. One customer mentions that the service conducted by the manager was rude and condescending. They also mention missing items, such as starters and popodum, and being charged for them. The response to a simple request for different glasses for drinks is also described as rude and argumentative.
Additionally, some customers mention concerns about COVID-19 safety measures. They mention that there is no social distancing in place and that the staff and management are not wearing masks. This lack of compliance with safety guidelines can be seen as a weakness, as customers prioritize their health and safety in the current period.
Another weakness mentioned is the high prices at Bombay Brasserie. One comment mentions that the cost per head for food and drink can be around £25 to £30. While the customer acknowledges that this is not the restaurant's fault and can be attributed to inflation, the high prices may be a deterrent for some customers.
Finally, some negative comments mention substandard food quality and taste. One customer mentions that the naan bread was overly burnt and the Korma lacked authenticity. The comment also criticizes the outdated decor, comparing it to a horror movie. These concerns about the food quality and taste can affect the overall dining experience and reputation of the restaurant.
In conclusion, Bombay Brasserie has several strengths, including great food, accommodating service, and consistency. However, there are weaknesses highlighted in the negative comments, such as rude and condescending service, missing items, high prices, lack of COVID-19 safety measures, and substandard food quality and taste. It is important for the restaurant to address these weaknesses and strive for improvement in order to maintain its positive reputation and attract satisfied customers.
Best TL Reviews
Don't understand the other reviews I've been reading, either just very rude and inconsiderate so called human beings, or just not human beings...
I've found Bombay Brasserie service very accommodating , whether it was the girl at the till, or the very funny waiter, yes the manager does walk around asking all his customers if they are happy and did they enjoy his food, not once did or ever hear anyone complain...
The food is great, again its always been good, constantly good, whether you turn tonight or in a months time...constantly consistent, it's all you want when going out for a meal/treat.
Yes for drink and food your looking at £25 to £30 a head, but that's not their fault, it's the period of time we all are living in, inflation.....
Keep up the great work Bombay Brasserie
Simply the best indian food in Boston. Tasty, spicy, clean and fresh. Speedy delivery.
Tried many of the curry houses around here and I believe I have found the best.
I like my curry hot, the vindaloo is hot!
Excellent.
I would give zero stars if possible. Service was Conducted by the manager who was rude and condescending.
Food was all jumbed, starts was missing and when asked took his time walking around. My popodum was never served and got charged for.
Had 1 request to have drinks served in different glasses got an rude argumentative response. Just a simple request got so complicated for them.
No social distancing in place tables close to each other. Staff & management not masks.
At the end our bill was well over, got charged for stuff that was missing and no eat out to help out discount applied. When questioned, not superprised got a sarcastic response from the management. Looks like the customer is never right here.
Food quality and taste below standards, naan bread overly burnt and Korma lacked authenticity and decor out dated and looks like from a horror movie.
I would strongly not recommend this place if you don't want substandard service and taste. Will avoid if ever in this area.
Fantastic food, friendly staff every time I've been in, really quick delivery and delivers out to Old Leake. Would really recommend.
Not been here for a while. Had a few takeaways over the Covid times, which were very good. Had a group of 8 people and the service was excellent, even being a very busy night. The staff are friendly. And the food, well put it this way all the plates were clean.
This was my first visit to the Bombay Brasserie. The food was very good and the service was good.
I really enjoyed my meal there and will go again.
I ordered a takeaway which was priced at £25 I asked if it was free deli and they said yes! When it arrived I was charged £35 pound, free delivery I was informed the next day, does not exist, the food was good but they lied about free delivery and the guy taking the order when I complained about the delivery charge started to shout over me more or less calling me a liar! So if you want to be overcharged, shouted at and insinuated that you were lieing then by all means shop there, I won’t again. EVER
!!!
Excellent meal with excellent service.Enjoyed very much.
