Quick Facts About Bow Street Chippy

Bow Street Chippy seems to have received mostly positive comments from customers, highlighting several strengths of the restaurant. Firstly, many customers appreciate the size and quality of the fish served at Bow Street Chippy. The fish is described as massive and the batter is praised for being perfectly cooked and crispy. This suggests that the restaurant excels in frying fish, resulting in a satisfying and delicious meal.
The chips at Bow Street Chippy also receive high praise from customers. They are consistently described as crispy, not too greasy, and with good portion sizes. The fact that the chips are hand-cut and have irregular shapes adds to the authenticity and appeal for some customers. This suggests that the chippy has mastered the art of frying chips to perfection.
Another strength mentioned by customers is the friendly and welcoming staff. Visitors appreciate the warm atmosphere and the personal touch provided by the Fryer in Chief, who takes the time to have a chat and ensure that the food is served fresh. The team also seems to work well together, efficiently taking orders and handling payment separately from food preparation. This indicates good organization and customer service.
The positive comments and recommendations from customers further emphasize the strength of Bow Street Chippy. Many customers express their delight in finding a high-quality chip shop in the village, suggesting that this establishment stands out among competitors in the area. The consistently positive feedback about the fish and chips being substantial portions also indicates that Bow Street Chippy offers good value for money.
However, there is one negative comment about the chippy. One customer mentions that their chips were hard and inedible, possibly indicating that they were reheated. Additionally, the fish they received was cooked in a thick and non-crispy batter, which was oily. This suggests that there might be inconsistencies in food quality and preparation at times.
In conclusion, Bow Street Chippy appears to have several strengths based on customer comments. The restaurant is praised for its massive and well-cooked fish, crispy and delicious chips, and friendly staff. The majority of customers highly recommend Bow Street Chippy, and its reputation as the best fish and chip shop in the area is acknowledged. However, there is a minor weakness mentioned regarding potential inconsistencies in food quality. Nonetheless, the positive comments overwhelmingly outweigh the negative, making Bow Street Chippy a worth visiting establishment for those seeking a satisfying fish and chip meal.

Best TL Reviews

This chippy is well worth a visit. Fish was massive and they serve proper chips. Everything about it was lovely, as were the staff.
A friendly welcome each time that I've made the journey up from Borth. Fryer in Chief always has time to exchange a few words and ensure the product is freshly served. The team works well, taking the order and the cash separately from preparing the takeaway. I arrive after 6pm weekdays when the rush is gone.
Best fish and chips, simple.
Fish normally cooked fresh, perfect batter
Chips are always crispy, not too greasy and good portion sizes. Keep up the good work guys
Popped in for a fish and chip supper and would have returned the food if we hadn't already driven home. The chips were so hard they were inedible. Can only assume they'd been reheated....and some. The fish was cooked in a thick, non crispy batter and was very oily. The server was friendly but that's the only positive. Wouldn't return and very disappointed.
Wow! This was a real treat. Bought a portion of fish and chips from the shop this evening, the food was first class. The chips were dry and crisp on the outside whist light and fluffy within. The fish was presented in a light crisp batter and perfectly cooked inside. Both the fish and chips were substantial portions. Excellent to have a first rate chip shop in the village.
Best chips I've had in a long time they looked hand cut so lots of odd shapes would be more than happy to eat from there again
We haven't been to this part of the world all that much, but we will definitely come back for Bow Street fish and chips! They are the best ever! ????
Excellent fish & chips big portions and freshly cooked. Highly recommend
