Quick Facts About Bryan street chippy

Bryan Street Chippy is a traditional English fish and chip shop in Blackburn. The comments provided offer both positive and negative feedback about the establishment. In order to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses, let us analyze the comments in detail:
Starting with the strengths: - "First chippy tea since we moved to Blackburn 18 months ago, would definitely go there again": This comment highlights that the customer had a positive experience and would be willing to return to Bryan Street Chippy. This suggests that the quality of food and service was satisfactory, making it a potential strength of the establishment. - "Fantastic legendary John bulls we came from Preston to sample our John bulls from a nice friendly traditional English fish and chip shop and we were not disappointed. We totally recommend Bryan Street Chippy, thank you": This comment emphasizes the friendly atmosphere and the quality of the John Bulls dish. It demonstrates that Bryan Street Chippy is capable of attracting customers from other towns, which is a positive indication of their food and service.
Moving on to the weaknesses: - "I was hoping it tasted better than it looked, but no. Good job I didn't get salt on too. It was barely edible to begin with. The Gravy like Glue and I think they have spilled the whole salt container in it. The Sausage was thin and tasteless and poor quality and the chips anaemic. After working late and calling for a quick tea on the way home I am more than disappointed. £4.05 for inedible food.. I'd give 0 stars if I could. No wonder it was empty. Bryan Street Chippy. Come back Tom and family.": This comment indicates multiple weaknesses in the food and overall experience. The food is described as barely edible, with poor quality sausage and anaemic chips. The customer also expresses disappointment with the high price they paid for inedible food. This comment reflects poorly on the taste, quality, and value for money provided by Bryan Street Chippy. Additionally, the mention of it being empty suggests that other customers may also be dissatisfied. - "Absolutely terrible. I live 2 minutes away but everything was cold. Gravy like glue, undercooked chips, and the steak pudding tasted like it was day's old. Last time I go. Would have scored zero but you can't leave a review without scoring": This comment further emphasizes the poor quality of the food, specifically mentioning cold items, glue-like gravy, and undercooked chips. The reference to the steak pudding tasting old raises concerns about the freshness of the ingredients used. The customer expresses dissatisfaction and vows not to return, indicating that this negative experience was the final straw. - "Absolutely dreadful, fish way overcooked and the batter very soggy and thick white uncooked flour inside. Chips awful, and the curry sauce way too thick. Threw it all in the bin, definitely WILL NOT BE RETURNING": This comment highlights issues with overcooked fish, soggy batter, and poor quality chips. The mention of uncooked flour inside the batter suggests a lack of attention to detail in the cooking process. The thick curry sauce also does not meet the expectations of the customer. The customer's decision to throw away the food further emphasizes the poor quality and taste. They express a strong sense of dissatisfaction and state that they will not be returning.
In addition to the comments, there is a mention of the previous owners and their instructions being disregarded, implying a decline in the overall quality of the establishment. This lack of consistency and adherence to previous successful practices can be considered a weakness.
From the comments provided, it is evident that Bryan Street Chippy has received both positive and negative feedback. The strengths of the establishment include positive customer experiences, a friendly atmosphere, and an ability to attract customers from other towns. However, the weaknesses identified are numerous and significant, including poor quality food, undercooked or overcooked items, unappetizing appearance, and a decline in standards compared to the previous owners. These weaknesses are significant and greatly impact the overall perception of Bryan Street Chippy.
In conclusion, based on the comments provided, the weaknesses of Bryan Street Chippy seem to outweigh the strengths. The consistency of negative feedback regarding the quality of food and lack of attention to detail raises concerns about the overall dining experience at this establishment. It is suggested that improvements need to be made to address these weaknesses in order to regain customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Top Chippy and Top Service. Very nice chap who has a lot of experience working in a chippy.
Absolutely dreadful, fish way overcooked and the batter very soggy and thick white uncooked flour inside. Chips awful and the curry sauce way too thick. Threw it all in the bin, definitely WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
Really big shame, given this place a few chances since the previous owners departed. Each visit the chips are extremely greasy and uncooked (how often is the oil changed?) the fish is soggy and small & I wouldn’t feed the sausage to my dog. Feedback given but girls not interested.
How the mighty have fallen. This was once the best chippy in Blackburn, now its an absolute disgrace. Chips under cooked in very old oil, wife had two and threw the rest in the bin.. Mushy fish which is obviously frozen not fresh and gravey with the consistency of ice cream. When the business changed hands the food was still pretty good, but owner has now thrown Toms instructions out the window and gone his own way. A solid business turned into shambles.. rip Bryan St
