Quick Facts About Cambridge Lakes Community Center

The Cambridge Lakes Community Center has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. In terms of strengths, it is mentioned that the staff at the community center is very nice and helpful. This positive attitude and good customer service contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. The center also offers various activities and amenities for both adults and children, such as a gym, basketball courts, gaming rooms, and outdoor swimming pools. These options provide opportunities for physical exercise and recreation, making it a convenient place for families to enjoy.
Additionally, the community center has a large room with a kitchen available for rent. This can be beneficial for hosting events or gatherings, providing an additional space for residents to utilize. The center's proximity to residential areas is also mentioned as a strength, as it allows individuals to easily access the facilities and work out without having to travel far.
However, there are several weaknesses pointed out by the comments. One of the main concerns is the size and equipment of the fitness rooms. Some visitors feel that the fitness rooms are small and not well-equipped. They suggest the need for additional mats and platforms for various exercises and stretches. The complaint about the wobbly leg curl machine raises concerns about the maintenance and safety of the equipment. This indicates that the center may need to invest in better equipment and regularly inspect and repair them to ensure a safe and efficient workout environment.
Another significant weakness raised is the high monthly fee for HOA (Homeowners Association) combined with the perceived lack of value for the amount paid. Visitors express dissatisfaction with the gym's small size and frequent equipment failures, especially considering the cost they pay. Additionally, complaints are made about the center being occasionally closed during holidays, which further reduces the value received for the membership fees.
Furthermore, some comments mention overcrowding in the gym, making it difficult to exercise due to limited space and availability of equipment. This suggests that the community center may need to consider ways to manage the number of individuals using the facility at once or invest in expanding the gym's capacity to accommodate more visitors.
Another weakness highlighted is the lack of supervision on the basketball courts. Visitors express frustration with the courts being occupied by other activities, and mention the employees not actively monitoring or managing the situation. This raises concerns about safety and fairness for those who want to use the facilities specifically for basketball. The comment about the security guard not actively performing their duties also indicates a potential issue with the overall security and management of the community center.
In conclusion, the Cambridge Lakes Community Center has strengths such as a friendly staff, a variety of amenities for both adults and children, and the convenience of being close to residential areas. However, there are weaknesses that need to be addressed, including the size and equipment of the fitness rooms, the value received for the monthly fees, overcrowding in the gym, lack of supervision on the basketball courts, and potential issues with security.

The fitness rooms are pretty small. Not very well equipped.. kinda bare bones. There should be mats for patrons to use and a small set of platforms for various exercises, stretches, and for helping short people to reach the high up stuff on the machines. The leg curl machine is wobbly.
i come here everyday and it’s very fun and everyone’s nice
Is sad we pay so much .and when we need to go and have fun with my kids the basketball court is always busy with another activitys.
For 70 dollars a month in HOA in fees, they do not offer much. Gym is small and equipment is always broken. They let high schoolers in and let them break the equipment. They always find a reason to be closed, especially during the holidays (3 consecutive days). The staff is very nice. Not worth the cost of what we pay.
Nice place that is close to home to work out. Pool is nice in the summer and gym is great for the kids and friends in the winter.
Don't agree with the 5 dollar charge for guest to the basketball court / field house, should set up a guest pass system for visiting family that could work for 2-3 days at a time.
But it's hard to argue with someplace I can ride my bike to work out....
Unfortunate we pay so much for HOA but have this tiny gym. I try and go after work and it is so packed, I am unable to do even one workout.
Rec Center is a great place for the kids to burn energy. With the basketball courts and the gaming room. They have a gym for you adults. This place has a large room with a kitchen to rent out. Summer time, you have a outdoor swimming pool and kiddie splash pool. The staff are wonderful people to work with here.
This place is so trash, they don’t monitor the basketball courts at all and the employees are not doing anything. The “security guard” sits at a desk all day drinking Diet Coke and watching family guy
