Great location! Enjoyed sitting by the water to have lunch. Food is freshly cooked and you pick what you want them to cook for you. We had the fried shrimp, bass, tilapia, shrimp fried rice, and egg rolls. Everything was delicious! Only down side was no fountain drinks there for no iced drinks for this Texas heat! They do have can beverages. Bring your own cup and ice if you like cold drinks with your meal. Will definitely be coming back though with my own ice and cup! ????????
Delicious, quick, on the water so we could watch the gulls flying around. Very fairly priced for the amount of food and the freshness. It's all counter service. Wish we'd brought a cooler to take some seafood home with us!
Food: fresh. Good prices for what you get. We had gulf shrimp. They left boo boo lines in shrimp, so we found our selves digging that out of each shrimp. Not sure if places like this normally remove them before serving.
Our server was extremely friendly and hospitable. I felt the cashier and maybe one other person was not very friendly. But that could have been due to a language barrier. We felt a little out of place being afro American, as we felt people were kinda staring. I hope that statement doesn't offend anyone. We will try them again and see how it goes.
???? listen, this restaurant is worth figuring out!
When you go in you immediately see the fish market.
Don't be intimidated and leave like the family in front of us.
Don't walk past it and look for a hostess/table/alternate entrance like we did ????
Order your food at the market. What you see is what you are getting. It doesn't get much fresher than that...unless of course the fish is at the end of your hook!
You can order combos or you can be adventurous and order by the item.
Our family went all in. We ordered an entire flounder, 1 lb of shrimp, 1of of calamari, a large french fry, 4 egg rolls and a large fried rice. There was 4 of us and way more food than we could eat! Oh and 3 beers +2 cokes. Our total with tip was sub $90!
Everything was scrumptious, sauces were delivered right to our table, we had a spot overlooking the bay and it was gorgeous.
Absolutely recommend and the next time we're in Houston we'll be there!
This is a place of fresh seafood that you can pick by the pound and they cook it at the moment.
We went on a Monday so it wasn’t really full of people.
When you enter you see the market with all they offer. We ordered a combo (I wanted oysters) and it included 3 oysters, tilapia fillet and 6 shrimps with french fries… my surprise was that even the oysters are fried!!
Everything tasted great for a nice price ;)
I’m giving the 4 stars instead of 5 because I think they can enhance a bit the place to make it look more clean and eye-catchy.
I can surely say this is a very original place to have a meal when visiting Kemah ;)
Anytime I visit Houston, my family and I stop by here to eat. We always order a whole fried red snapper. They offer a small or large side of French fries or fries. They are generous on the French fries and you can never go wrong with white steamed rice. It tastes amazing! Last time we purchased a 5 lb red snapper with large fries for 3 adults.
