The presence of a tea room, clean toilets, and pet corner further enhance the park experience. Visitors also enjoy the affordability of the mini zoo and the presence of a nice monument structure in the park.
However, there are some weaknesses that should be addressed. The lack of promotion for the park may hinder its recognition as a top destination in the area. Wir hatten leider nicht so gutes Wetter, so dass ich keine Aussage über den gesamten Park treffen kann.Den Teil den ich gesehen habe war sehr schön.
I’ve been coming here since I was a child and now I’m bringing my own children all these years later. It’s a lovely park with lots of history. The kids enjoy running around, kicking a football or riding their bikes / scooters.
The cafe is great with plenty of room to sit indoors or out and there’s a quiet zone for those that need it. Great selection of hot and cold food, teas, coffee and ice cream.
What a beautiful park. Lived in the area for more than 20 years and never knew about it. I am a bit surprised why this park is not mentioned anywhere. It should be in the top places to visit in the surrounding areas. The park is well looked after, clean and great for walks.
Free parking, tea room, toilets and pet corner(£2).
I certainly enjoyed my visit and will be coming back.
This has always been a beautiful park… but
The hedges that have finally grown enough to make the maze look decent is being eaten alive by hundreds of caterpillars. They were all over the place.
The centre of the maze is still green at the moment but the outside of the maze has been decimated. All someone needs to do is spray some natural pesticide or something. It can’t be that difficult.
And the pond absolutely stinks. Before much longer it’s going to be a health concern. Feel like I need to wear a mask to stand near it. It needs clearing out.
We visited on a clear and crisp day. The cafe was open and sold a variety of snacks and hot food, ice cream, cold drinks and cakes.
The toilet facilities were clean and respectable. There is disabled access throughout the park.
We arrived, and were lucky enough to be the first crowd to see the Laughing Kookaburra which we had a talk on and saw them feeding. It was a really nice experience for us and the young children we had with us.
I could say many more positive things about this place but I think most of the enjoyment I had was from the mystery of the place. I never knew this place existed until my random visit.
Access is a painful experience if coming north from the m25, other wise that's all I have to say. I will definitely be returning with the kids they had a great time.
Good place for picnic, nice parking space. Very few animals at Zoo. Price to visit the Zoo is affordable. Nice monument structure.
