Quick Facts About Chipmunk
Chipmunk Place, located in St. Helens, has received both positive and negative feedback from customers. The comments provided above give us an insight into the strengths and weaknesses of the establishment. In this analysis, we will further examine these comments to understand the overall strengths and weaknesses of Chipmunk Place.
One of the significant strengths highlighted by customers is the quality of the food. Multiple comments mention that the food is enjoyable, with one customer specifically praising the fish and chips, describing the batter as light and crispy. This consistency in positive feedback regarding the food indicates that the establishment excels in this aspect, making it a reliable choice for customers seeking good quality takeaway meals.
Another strength identified through customer comments is the welcoming and helpful nature of the staff. Commentators mention that the staff at Chipmunk Place are friendly and provide excellent service. One customer specifically commends the staff for being helpful and courteous. This positive customer experience with the staff contributes to a pleasant overall dining experience.
The presence of a seating area, albeit small, is also mentioned as a strength. While the seating area can only accommodate approximately 14 people, it provides customers with the option to dine in rather than opting for takeaway. This adds value to the establishment and appeals to customers who prefer a sit-down experience.
However, there are also weaknesses highlighted by customers that need to be addressed. One significant weakness mentioned by a customer is the issue of missing food items from an order. This customer recounts an incident where they discovered missing chips and gravy after getting home. When they returned to address the issue, the staff member became defensive and aggressive instead of addressing the problem calmly. This indicates a weakness in terms of customer service and attentiveness to customer concerns.
Another weakness highlighted by a customer is the decline in food quality. This customer mentions that during their visit, they found the chips to be half cooked and the pie to be cold. Inconsistency in food quality can be a significant weakness for any restaurant as it can lead to dissatisfaction and potential loss of customers.
The issue of parking is also mentioned as a weakness. A customer notes that parking outside Chipmunk Place is a free-for-all, suggesting that the establishment does not have designated parking spaces for customers. This can be a frustrating experience for customers, potentially discouraging them from visiting the establishment.
Additionally, a customer who used to be a regular patron mentions that they would not return due to a decline in the overall quality of Chipmunk Place. This suggests a decline in the overall reputation of the establishment, which could negatively impact its customer base.
Overall, Chipmunk Place has strengths in terms of food quality, friendly staff, and a small seating area. However, weaknesses such as missing food items, decline in food quality, parking issues, and a decline in reputation need to be addressed to maintain and attract customers. By taking steps to improve customer service, consistency in food quality, and addressing logistical issues like parking, Chipmunk Place can continue to thrive in the competitive food industry.

Always enjoy the food and staff are very welcoming, as is the tasty corner and oriental takeaway i could go on lot of 5 star quality takeaway in st helens, its a pity prices have had to increase in a lot of takeaways in recent months but as i see it is a necessity to keep these places open due to steep rises in energy and raw produce i hope all struggling takeaways can make it through this tough period as there's nothing better than going for a convenient local chippy tea especially on a friday, good luck in the future to all in the trade,
Thanks for all the support from the people of st helens and those who come from as far away as widnes wigan and the wirral to also support the fish and chipshops in the st helens area.
We have always liked this chipy, but this time we had an issue with food missing off order which was only discovered when got home, when i went back and enquired about the missing chips and 2 pots of gravy the woman who served us got immediately defensive saying we had everything when i tried to explain we hadn't she got really aggressive and shouting well there not on the counter so where are they.
At this point i just decided it wasn't worth the hassle and said just forget it and said won't come back here again, but the attitude of the staff is disgraceful.
I wanted to reply to your comment that i did speak to you woman who did serve us, maybe if you could check your cctv to confirm if we did get our whole order has i know we did not, we came in between 4:30pm and 5:00pm and the 3 of us were should to left side of the shop.
Food gone right down hill. It was early tea time 5ish, chips half cooked, pie cold.
Parking outside is a free for all. Staff friendly.
