Quick Facts About Copperfields Restaurant
Copperfields Restaurant has several strengths that make it a highly recommended dining destination. Firstly, the atmosphere is warm, tidy, exceptionally clean, and very welcoming. The interior design, with sayings on the walls and interesting items dotted about, resembles being back in your mother's or favorite person's house to eat. This creates a sense of comfort and familiarity for customers.
Another strength of Copperfields is the menu selection. It offers a nice variety of options, including specials and desserts on blackboards on the wall. The prices are also very reasonable, with adult meals costing less than £9 and child meals costing less than £7. This makes Copperfields a great value for the quality and quantity of food provided.
When it comes to the food itself, Copperfields excels. The comments mention that the food is freshly cooked to perfection. The chips, in particular, are praised as some of the best chips the commenter has ever had, being authentic home-cooked chips. The portion sizes are also well-balanced, not overwhelming but not too small either.
One standout aspect of Copperfields is the inclusion of dessert in the meal price. This is highly unusual and adds even more value to the dining experience. The desserts are described as exceptional homemade delights, such as choc fudge cake and rhubarb crumble. This sets Copperfields apart from other restaurants and adds to the overall positive impression.
The service at Copperfields is also highly commendable. The staff is friendly, efficient, and entertaining. They engage with customers, particularly children, making the dining experience enjoyable for everyone. The owners and staff receive praise for their outstanding work and ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
In terms of weaknesses, the only comment that could be interpreted as negative is the statement that many people were unable to get a table due to the restaurant being busy. While this indicates that Copperfields is a popular and sought-after dining spot, it could also be seen as a drawback for those who prefer a quieter or less crowded environment. However, this is a subjective preference and does not detract from the overall strengths of Copperfields.
In conclusion, Copperfields Restaurant has numerous strengths that make it a highly recommended place to dine. From the welcoming atmosphere to the reasonable prices and exceptional homemade food, Copperfields provides a fantastic dining experience. The inclusion of dessert in the meal price adds even more value. Additionally, the friendly and efficient service creates a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for customers. Although it may occasionally be busy and difficult to get a table, this is a testament to the popularity and quality of Copperfields. Overall, it is an outstanding restaurant that customers can't wait to return to.

We had heard many a great thing about Copperfields but never tried it until this weekend. All the great things you have heard..... All completely true. The cafe itself is very unassuming and it's almost a blink and you miss it sort of place (which is a good thing which I'll explain below) inside it's like being back your mum's house or your favourite persons house to eat. Its warm, tidy, exceptionally clean and very welcoming with various sayings on the walls and interesting items dotted about. The menu gives a nice selection of options plus a few specials and deserts on blackboards on the wall. The prices... Less than £9 for an adult meal and less than £7 for a child's meal and in a moment you will see why not only is it already a bargain but becomes even more so. We ordered the goats cheese tart and steak pie for adult meals and then chicken nuggets and ham and egg for the kids. All freshly cooked to perfection. Some of the best chips I've ever had, proper home cooked chips. They came really quick too did the main meals. We ate the lot, it was too good not to. The portion size was great, not over faced and not tiny either. It was the perfect amount all round... Then the even better bit. The dessert was included in the meal price... You read that correctly the desserts were included in the meal price . So we had choc fudge cake and rubharb crumble, all home made and again were treated to some exceptional home made delights. The service was friendly and efficient and they were so entertaining and engaging with our kids. The bill, for 4 people to eat with dessert and a total of 5 drinks... £34. £34, probably couldn't do McDonald's for that price for the amount of food and drinks and certainly wouldn't be as nice as it was here. So I hope you all continue to pass it by and not pop in for food as it means there is more space for us to go and eat in there more regularly, however if you do want to go in and you really should, then PLEASE book in advance soooo many were unlucky on the day as it was so busy and couldn't get in for a table. Absolutely outstanding work by the owners/staff, we can't wait to come in again!
One of the best eating experiences I've had, it was five star food, home cooked delicious and plenty of it!!! lovely staff ready with a smile and a joke, lovely background music to suit most tastes, and an excellent price, we will definitely go back!!!
A sign on the door advises you to book to avoid disappointment. The reason soon became clear as this is a small cozy restaurant and the quality of the food is second to none. Great choice of delicious home cooked meals. The food is prepared fresh and there is plenty of it. The place is spotlessly clean and full of charm and character. Two of us enjoyed a substantial two course meal with soft drinks for just over £20. Which, all things considered, is very reasonable.
The best recommendation I can give is to say that I shall be returning often.
Absolutely fantastic. Service was 1st class and the food was the best we've had. Such amazing value for money aswell which is really appreciated during these difficult financial times. We will definitely be new regulars. Thank you for a lovely meal out.
We were a family of twelve eating Sunday lunch at Copperfield's. The food was home made and very tasty. The staff were all extremely friendly . I would certainly recommend eating here, very good value for money.
Plenty of friendly people already enjoying lunch, friendly service, eat in or take out including doggy bags.
