Quick Facts About Sheung Moon

without feeling guilty afterwards. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were reasonable.
One of the biggest strengths of Sheung Moon place, as mentioned by multiple comments, is the quality of their food. Despite a few mixed reviews, the majority of customers found the food to be decent and delicious. The chicken with light batter and special fried rice received positive feedback for its taste and texture. The fact that one customer mentioned it as the best Chinese food they have had speaks volumes about the quality of the dishes.
Additionally, the non-greasy nature of the food was appreciated by some customers. This is a significant strength, as many people often avoid Chinese takeaways due to the high oil content and subsequent guilt associated with consuming such meals. Sheung Moon place seems to have found the right balance between taste and healthiness.
Another strength mentioned by a customer is the friendliness and efficient service provided by the staff. Good customer service is crucial in the food industry, and the positive experiences mentioned indicate that the staff at Sheung Moon place excel in this aspect. Friendly and quick service can leave a lasting impression on customers and encourage them to return.
The large order for 8 people mentioned in one comment was ready in just 35 minutes, which indicates that the restaurant is capable of handling large orders efficiently. This is a strength, as catering to big groups is often a challenge for many establishments.
Moving on to the weaknesses, the main point of critique seems to be the lack of flavor and spices in some of the dishes. Multiple comments mention that the food could do with more spices, highlighting the desire for a stronger taste. One person specifically mentioned that the curry was very sweet, which may not be desirable for those seeking a savory and well-balanced flavor profile. This feedback suggests that the restaurant may need to work on enhancing the flavors of their dishes and adjusting the sweetness levels in certain items.
Another weakness pointed out by a comment is the lack of Indian style curry paste in the Singapore vermicelli dish. This suggests that the dish may not be authentic or comparable to what customers might expect from other establishments. Sheung Moon place could potentially improve this dish by incorporating more traditional flavors and ingredients.
In terms of operating hours, it is mentioned that the restaurant is only open for four hours a day and not every day of the week. This can be seen as a weakness, as it limits the availability and convenience for customers who may want to order from them. Having more flexible and convenient operating hours could attract a larger customer base.
One comment states that the staff are "miserable as sin and impatient." This criticism suggests a weakness in the overall atmosphere and customer service provided by the staff. Unhappy and impatient staff can create a negative dining experience and deter customers from returning. Sheung Moon place should address this issue by focusing on staff training and ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for customers.
Finally, one customer had an extremely negative experience, describing their takeaway as the worst they have ever had. The comment highlights issues with the quality of the ingredients, such as tough pork, fish-flavored beef, and rubbery chicken. This indicates a significant weakness in the consistency and quality control of the food. Sheung Moon place should address this issue promptly to avoid losing more customers and damaging their reputation.
In conclusion, Sheung Moon place has several strengths, including decent food, generous portion sizes, reasonable prices, friendly service, and efficient handling of large orders. However, there are also weaknesses that need to be addressed, such as the lack of flavor and spices in some dishes, inconsistency in the quality of ingredients, limited operating hours, and negative staff attitude. By focusing on improving these weaknesses, Sheung Moon place can further enhance their reputation and attract a larger customer base.

Best TL Reviews

Decent food. But not much flavor. Curry was VERY sweet. Could do with more spices.
Singapore vermicelli could also do with more Indian style curry paste.
The guy behind the counter was friendly, and did a great job of service.
Best Chinese around. Yet to find another that’s as good as sheung moon!
They are open for four hours a day and not all week. Food is 7/10, staff are miserable as sin and impatient. I cannot be bothered with them. Would rather eat broccoli than go back to them, assuming they are open.
First takeaway in ages and it did not disappoint. Chicken with lovely light batter and special fried rice was terrific. Friendly and quick service will definitely be getting the next meal from there thank you
Monday Evening 20:00. Just had a hot and spicy special with rice . 70% was onion , 10% carrot and what meat that was there was sub standard , the pork was tough , the beef tasted of fish , chicken had consistency of a rubber ball. Two prawns tasted as they should . I would say hand on heart that this was the worst takeaway I’ve had. It’s now residing in the waste bin. £9.30 wasted.
A Chow Mein here contains plan Chicken and beansprouts....not worth buying as with all the Meal Deals
We had a large order for 8 people which was ready in 35 minutes. Everything was delicious and freshly made, everyone commented how good the food was. Best Chinese!
Very tasty not greasy. One of the few takeaway I can eat
