Quick Facts About Creams of Seaham

Creams of Seaham has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. Firstly, customers appreciate the delicious ice cream served at the parlour. Although the brand of the ice cream is unknown, it is described as "delicious" and "nice," indicating that the taste and quality are highly regarded. This is an important strength as the primary product of an ice cream parlour is the ice cream itself, and if it fails to meet customer expectations, it can lead to a decline in patronage.
Another strength of Creams of Seaham is its dog-friendly policy. Customers point out that not only are dogs allowed in the shop, but they also sell doggy-friendly ice creams and treats. This is a unique offering that sets Creams of Seaham apart from its competitors and attracts dog owners who want to enjoy a treat with their furry friends. The fact that they provide a whole wall of candies to choose from further enhances their offerings and appeals to a wider range of customers.
The staff at Creams of Seaham are highly regarded by customers. They are described as "nice," "patient," and "helpful." These positive interactions with staff members contribute to a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making customers feel valued and appreciated. Additionally, the fact that the staff often throws in freebies adds to the positive experience and fosters customer loyalty. The service is also praised for being quick and efficient, ensuring that customers can enjoy their treats without unnecessary delays.
Creams of Seaham is also commended for its range of sweets and treats available for purchase. Customers appreciate the variety and constantly find something new to try. The shop is described as having "sooooo many sweets and treats to choose from," indicating that there is something for everyone. This wide selection allows Creams of Seaham to cater to different tastes and preferences, ensuring that customers can always find something they enjoy.
Furthermore, Creams of Seaham is seen as a popular choice for special occasions such as birthdays. The availability of themed sweets designed around yearly events like Halloween makes it a go-to destination for customers looking for unique treats. The positive feedback regarding the 80th birthday cake is a testament to the quality and freshness of the baked goods offered by Creams of Seaham. The helpful and patient staff also contribute to the overall positive experience when purchasing such celebratory items.
However, Creams of Seaham is not without its weaknesses. One customer criticizes the pricing, stating that they found it "well overpriced." The example comparison given implies that Creams of Seaham charges significantly more for similar ice creams than a nearby establishment. This can be a weakness for Creams of Seaham as price sensitivity is an essential factor for many customers when choosing a place to buy ice cream. If the prices are perceived as too high, potential customers may be deterred and choose alternative options.
Another potential weakness is the lack of information about the brand of ice cream. Although the taste is praised, some customers express curiosity about the specific brand used. Not knowing the brand can be a drawback for customers who prefer a particular brand or want to know more about the ingredients and production methods. This lack of transparency may result in some customers feeling uncertain or hesitant about their purchase.
In summary, Creams of Seaham has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. Customers appreciate the delicious ice cream, dog-friendly policy, wide range of sweets and treats, helpful staff, and availability of celebratory items. However, potential weaknesses include the perception of being overpriced and the lack of information about the ice cream brand. Despite these weaknesses, Creams of Seaham's strengths outweigh and contribute to its popularity as a beloved ice cream parlour.

Lovely little ice cream parlour.
Don't know what brand the ice creams are and was too shy to ask but it was delicious.
They also sell doggy-friendly ice creams and treats and dogs are allowed in the shop too!
There is a whole wall of candies too to choose from.
My 3 year old was proper happy. ????
We have been in many times over the summer for sweet treats. It's is always our post beach walk treat be itneither ice creams or just a bag of sweets which they sell a range old favourites. Bought on several occasions for birthday and other yearly occasions as they have sweets designed around the yearly theme such as Halloween.
The nicest staff ordered lots form here and never disappoints, even threw in some freebies for me which is appreciated ????❤️
I rarely post on places that I visit, however this is our family’s favourite place for a treat. There’s always a warm welcome, a smile and sooooo many sweets and treats to choose from that every time we pass we just have to go in and get something we haven’t had before. However, my husband won’t let me pass without buying him a slice of the gorgeous chocolate cake. It’s too good to pass by. It’s a tiny shop front with a lot to offer. Take the time to pop in just incase something tempts you. ????????.
Food was nice. Service was quick, quiet atmosphere.
WELL OVER PRICED!!!! Paid £4.50 for 2 small whippy ice creams in a cone, no flake or anything .. considering 2 seconds up the road is lickety splits and it’s £2.90 for a HUGE scoop of proper vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone, creams of Seaham doesn’t compare in the slightest. Summary.. if you like being extorted and ice cream lacking flavour, creams of Seaham is for you!!
I was looking for an 80th birthday cake, and had left it last minute. Went to creams and they had a choice of a few lovely cakes, I was very indecisive which one to get and the lady was so helpful and patient with me. It was lovely to deal with her and how patient and helpful she was, I picked the cake up a few days later and it was amazing and in a lovely box. Would go back here anytime simply because she was so nice.
The rum n raisin waffle is to die for all washed down with a latte. Spot on. Can't find a better spot to chill out with the family after taking the dogs for a run. Great quality, very reasonable pricing and a nice friendly atmosphere. 10/10.
