Quick Facts About Daleys Bedford

Daley's Bedford place has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. One of the most notable strengths is the presentation of the pub. The frontage is consistently clean, and the flower boxes are beautiful. This attention to detail creates an inviting and attractive exterior for potential customers. Additionally, the owners have received praise for their service and welcome. Customers have expressed a desire to come in for a drink based on the positive feedback they have heard.
Another strength of Daley's Bedford place is the atmosphere. Many customers have commented on the nice atmosphere and the friendly and helpful staff. The bar staff and landlord are often described as polite and willing to go above and beyond to serve customers. The lighting around the pool table has also been praised, creating a great ambiance for patrons. The pub also offers a good choice of drinks, including popular options like Smirnoff-flavored shots.
Customers have also highlighted the convenience and accessibility of the pub. Located near bus stops, it is easily accessible for those without a car. Additionally, the pub is situated in a pleasant parade of mini shops and eateries, providing additional options for visitors. The availability of outside seating and the spaciousness inside are also positive aspects of the pub.
The book swap program offered by Daley's Bedford place is another strength that has garnered praise. This program encourages customers to enjoy a pint with a book in good company, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. The pub has been commended for implementing this initiative.
Despite these strengths, there are also areas where Daley's Bedford place could improve. Some customers have mentioned that the toilets, particularly in the functions room, could use some sprucing up. The toilets are described as in desperate need of a facelift, with peeling paint and a lack of cleanliness. This could impact the overall experience of customers, especially those attending private parties or events in the function room.
Another weakness is the lack of a disabled toilet on the premises. While the pub is spacious and offers outside seating, it loses a star in the eyes of some customers due to the absence of this essential facility.
The bar area and atmosphere have received mixed reviews. While some customers enjoy the local's haunt vibe and find it comfortable, others feel that it is in desperate need of a facelift. The walls have remnants from past parties, such as blu-tack, and the paint jobs are peeling. A tidy up and renovation of the area would greatly enhance the overall experience for customers.
The quality of service at the bar has also been inconsistent, with some customers reporting poor service while others had a decent experience. This could be improved by providing consistent training and standards for all bar staff.
Additionally, parking is another issue for some customers, particularly those traveling from out of town with less able people. The lack of parking can be inconvenient and may deter some potential customers.
In conclusion, Daley's Bedford place has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation, including its clean and attractive exterior, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere. The pub also offers a good choice of drinks and takes part in a book swap program. However, there are areas for improvement, such as upgrading the toilets, providing a disabled toilet, and renovating the bar area. Consistency in service and addressing the parking issue would also enhance the overall experience for customers.

I must congratulate the owners for how well they present the pub. The frontage is always clean and flower boxes are beautiful. I really must come in for a drink sometime I hear the service and welcome is just as good. We'll done.
I've been rehearsing and playing at Daleys club with my rock band for a while now, and it's usually a great night. The drinks are competitively priced, and the owner and bar staff will bend over backwards to serve you. The toilets could probably do with a bit of sprucing up, especially in the functions room, but cosmetic upgrades all come in their due time anyway.
It's a Kempston institution, and long may it continue to be so!
Good pub & nice atmosphere + the landlord + bar staff are very polite & very helpful
Went for the first time 2 weeks ago . Fantastic Rock band . The bar staff were so friendly and the owner was so lovely . Went again on Saturday night . Rock singer on she was amazing , and once again had a brilliant evening . Thank you once again . I will be returning soon
Very friendly staff and service.
Great lighting around the pool table.
Great choice of drinks too.
Smirnoff flavoured shots are really good. Melon and pineapple with lemonade is awesome.
Looks like your average club untill you step inside. The pub owner is a decent fella who'll help anybody if they need it.
It's nice & spacious inside with outside seating available aswell, yet it loses a star as I couldn't see a disabled toilet on the premises.
I will congratulate the pub on having a book swap programme, which is verry encouraging. I won't deny it, I like a decent pint with a book in good company. So kudos on that front!
This club doesn't have a kitchen for food yet it's located with a verry pleasant parade off mini shops & food eateries at a reasonable price.
It's easily accessible if you don't have a car, as it's near the bus stops with regular buses to & from the nearby town off Bedford.
All in all, recommendable in my books! :)
Attended an event in function room. Good prompt service from bar staff, nicely laid out hall. Only thing is toilets could do with a revamp. And having no parking at all was an issue for attending from out of town with less able people.
With a large room out the back this place is ideal for private parties and events but sophistication isn’t the order of the day. Blu-tak remains on the walls from years of previous parties and the peeling paint jobs on the walls really should have been touched up by now. The toilets are in desperate need of a facelift and it’s a tough choice between washing your hands and making them even more dirty on the towels vs not bothering to wash in the first place.
The main bar area on the other side of the event room is clearly a local’s haunt with the vibe of an ex-working men’s club. There’s a coupe of pool tables and darts board plus loads of seating. It’s a fairly comfortable area to relax in but again, is in desperate need of a facelift.
The range of drinks behind the bar is adequate for such a place and the prices are very reasonable. The quality of service behind the bar was hit and miss, from awful to decent, depending on the member of staff. The glassware was clean enough and the quality of drinks fine.
It’s certainly more of a regular’s social club than a pub and even if I was hiring out for a private event it won’t suit a lot of occasions. Given a decent lick of paint and tidy up it’d be a lot better, but it has a lot of potential!
