Quick Facts About Desi Tadka
Desi Tadka Place, based on the comments provided, has several strengths and weaknesses.
Beginning with the strengths, many customers praise the restaurant for its authentic food. The comment mentions that the food is similar to authentic cuisine, indicating that the restaurant is successful in delivering a genuine dining experience. This is an important strength as authenticity is often valued by customers seeking a specific type of cuisine. Additionally, the comment states that the interior is beautiful, suggesting that the restaurant pays attention to creating an aesthetically pleasing environment for its customers. A clean and tidy atmosphere is also mentioned, which is crucial for creating a comfortable dining experience.
Another strength highlighted in the comments is the BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) policy. This is often appreciated by customers who prefer to enjoy their own choice of beverages or want to save money on alcohol. The fact that the restaurant only asks customers not to bring their own mixers implies that they are accommodating to their patrons' preferences. The comment also mentions great recommendations from staff, indicating that the restaurant has knowledgeable and attentive employees who provide helpful suggestions to enhance the dining experience.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one customer expresses disappointment with the service. They mention that their order took a significant amount of time compared to others at their table. This highlights a potential issue with the restaurant's efficiency in delivering timely service, which can lead to customer dissatisfaction. Furthermore, the lack of acknowledgment or apology for the delay raises concerns about the restaurant's customer service standards.
Another weakness mentioned in the comments is the average quality of the curry. The customer states that there was not enough masala (spices/seasonings) and less chicken than desired. This suggests that the restaurant may struggle with consistency in its food preparation, impacting the overall taste and satisfaction of their dishes.
Additionally, one customer complains about the lack of tap water provided by the restaurant. Although the legal requirement for tap water provision may vary by location, the customer believes the restaurant should offer it. This issue could potentially deter customers who prefer to have access to complimentary tap water while dining.
The comments also mention issues with the card machine not working and a preference for cash payments. This raises concerns about the restaurant's transparency in financial transactions, potentially indicating tax fraud. This could affect the restaurant's reputation and customer trust.
Another weakness highlighted in the comments is the cleanliness of the establishment. While one customer states that the place is clean and tidy, another contradicts this by claiming it is not all that clean. This inconsistency raises doubts about the restaurant's hygiene standards and could impact the dining experience for customers.
Lastly, one comment mentions that the restaurant is not recommended for kids in the evenings due to the presence of drunks. This raises concerns about the overall atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant, potentially impacting the family-friendliness of the establishment.
In conclusion, Desi Tadka Place has strengths in terms of authentic and enjoyable food, a beautiful interior, BYOB policy, and great recommendations from staff. However, weaknesses are apparent in the areas of service efficiency, food quality and consistency, tap water availability, card machine functionality, cleanliness, and the presence of disruptive patrons. These weaknesses may need to be addressed in order to improve the overall dining experience and customer satisfaction at Desi Tadka Place.

An amazing place to have similar to authentic food. Very clean and tidy comfortable sitting beautiful interior. BYOB is the a great thing as well all they ask is not to bring your mixers. Great recommendations from staff as well. A must visit.
Very disappointed with the service. Ordered chilli paneer for starters and the paneer was hard. I waited over an hour for my chicken madras to come whilst everyone else’s food had already come on my table. No apology or aknowledgement I won’t be coming here again. To top it off the curry was average not enough masala and less chicken. A joke really.
Very bad resturent. They refuse to provide tap drinking water which is by law they should provide. Instead of that they sell water bottle which cost 3.50 pounds . When i asked bill the manager /owner just wrote on piece of paper. Picture attached. It was saying on cash counter that card machine not working and when i said i did not have cash then suddenly maxhine started working. They refuse to provide proper reciepts with vat to customers and it is all seems to be tax fraud. The chappati provided was burned and he did not bother to care and issue appolgy. I wont recommend to go there and it also should be investiageted why they refuse to provide drinking water in resturent and loot customers by selling water bottel of more than 3 pounds.
Food is good when the place isn't busy, they struggle when does get busy. Quality is okay can at times struggle with consistency. No tap water? Have to buy bottles....just wrong. Card machine never seems to work, always want cash.... clearly don't like declaring! You can bring your own alchohol. Not really all that clean. Drunks can be annoying not recommended for kids in the evenings.
Fantastic Punjabi food. Authentic, tasty and out of the world.
We are big fans of food here. Every time we go there, we enjoyed. Great service.
The food was excellent. My family enjoyed the veg and non veg dishes. The makhani dal, mutter mushroom and mix tandoori platter were excellent. Overall food was very good and tasty.
Spend a good amount on takeaway on Tuesday night.
Order paneer tikka, but got shahi paneer instead (stale). Dal tadka wasn’t even fresh.
Please improve your standard.
Friendly staff but lower food quality.
Ordered butter chicken, dal makhni and naans on last Saturday it was ridiculous. Too much ginger in daal makhni and naans were the readymade naans from packets. Worst food ever tasted.
