Quick Facts About Goraya Restaurant
Goraya Restaurant has received a mix of positive and negative comments, which highlights both its strengths and weaknesses. Let's analyze them in more detail.
Starting with the strengths, one customer mentions that the Biryani at Goraya Restaurant is the best they had in East London. They praise the taste, spiciness, and tender chicken, indicating that the food is of high quality. Another customer also enjoyed the chicken haleem, showing that the restaurant offers a variety of delicious dishes. Additionally, the comment about the authentic Lahore food suggests that Goraya Restaurant provides an authentic experience for Pakistani cuisine enthusiasts. The saag is specifically mentioned as being loved by one customer, further demonstrating the restaurant's ability to deliver tasty and satisfying dishes.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one customer had a negative experience trying to place an order over the phone. They were met with an aggressive response from the receiver, which indicates poor customer service. This negative interaction led the customer to decide not to order from the restaurant again, potentially causing them to lose a loyal customer. Another customer complains about the lack of telephone manners and understanding from the new management, suggesting that there may have been a decline in service since the change in management. Furthermore, the comment about the zero star option and the complaint to public authorities implies that the customer experienced extremely rude behavior from the staff members. This highlights a significant weakness in terms of customer service and professionalism.
Another issue raised by a customer is the inconsistency in following instructions. They claim that despite specific instructions to not make their food spicy, it consistently comes out even spicier, resulting in an unpleasant experience. The customer also mentions that their order was forgotten, further displaying an issue with order accuracy and efficiency. Additionally, the comment about the food hygiene rating being a 2 raises concerns about the restaurant's cleanliness and adherence to health regulations. This is a significant weakness that could deter potential customers.
Lastly, there are a few comments about the pricing and payment options. One customer mentions that the food is reasonable but slightly overpriced. Another comment points out that Goraya Restaurant only accepts cash, which could be inconvenient for customers who prefer or rely on card payments. However, the fact that the restaurant is open till late at night can be seen as a positive attribute, providing convenience for those looking for late-night dining options.
In conclusion, Goraya Restaurant has strengths in terms of tasty and authentic Pakistani cuisine, particularly their Biryani, haleem, saag, pakora, and desi chai. However, there are significant weaknesses in customer service, including rude staff members, issues with order accuracy, and poor phone manners. The lack of acceptance of credit/debit card payments and concerns about food hygiene also detract from the overall experience. Improvements in these areas would significantly enhance the restaurant's reputation and customer satisfaction.
Best TL Reviews
Uffff the best Biryani I had in east London.
It was so tasty, perfectly spiced, chicken so tender and overall it tasted really really good. I am not even a fan of Chicken Biryani as I like Pulao more but this was simply one of the best and gave you a homemade feeling and taste. Definitely recommended to everyone looking for a good Pakistani restaurant.
Also tried their chicken haleem and it was good too.
Attempted to place an order over the phone. Receiver did not understand, shouted over the phone saying ‘ARE YOU MAD’? Got frustrated and hung up.
Seeing the recent reviews, appears they are under new management who have no telephone manners and cannot even understand the customer. Will not be ordering from them again. Lost another loyal customer. Previous management is missed.
If there was a zero star option, it would be 0
We’ve been eating here for years, don’t get me wrong the food is nice but that’s not the problem here, I’ve given this place chance after chance after chance baring in mind that the food hygiene has been rated a 2 like come on that just unbelievable when I give them specific instructions they can’t seem to follow them, SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS every. Single. Time. I ask them to not make it spicy they make it even MORE spicy to the point that my mouth is fully on fire and I have to stop eating my food because it just completely put me off and yet my mouth will still be burning like 20 minutes later I’ve witnessed this now, we never get what we ask for in the first place, I’m very unsatisfied with the service I receive from this place. Tonight they even FORGOT to make my order just 5 minutes after my husband called them for collection, I want to give this place another chance but I’ve ran out of chances to give, I will NOT be eating from here again, you have lost a loyal customer.
Good place for authentic Lahore food
The food ordered was reasonable, and I think a little overpriced.
One big drawback is theu don't accept payment with credit/debit card. Has to be cash only.
I guess the consolation is that it is open till late at night.
Their staff members are very rude. They degraded us. I have also complained in several public authorities to cancel their license as they don't deserve do business in London. They have worst customer service I have ever experienced.
Will never see their faces again!
Lovely Pakistani cuisine. Food is delicious. Especially love the saag!
Service is good. One uncle there is very polite and well mannered and respectful towards women when they enter the shop.
A well placed restaurant and takeaway for predominantly Pakistani and Bangladeshi Food along with grills! They have varieties of food items - some are already and some freshly cooked to order!
Their Halwa Puri is great - delicious and mouth-watering! I found their pakora is among the best ones - edible, perfectly cooked and balanced ingredients! Thoroughly enjoyed it!
And finally their desi chai - is one of the best of the best! Freshly made and it takes about 15/20 minutes to be ready! ????????????????
