Couldn’t fault either the lovely service or food here, both great. Our first visit at the Queens Head, lovely lady who took our orders and so pleasant to chat to. Thoroughly glad we’ve finally tried it, the food was very nice, my wife and I called in mid afternoon on Valentine’s Day. Was told new management since I think last September ? Got good chefs now apparently. Had the posh fish and chips and steak pie, both with chips, very nice. This place has a nice vibe like it’s genuinely cared for and the people running it care that you’re happy. We will book for a Sunday lunch sometime. There looks to be a nice beer garden and they are dog friendly (dogs obviously not allowed in the main restaurant which is understood). We sat in the bar which was very nice. We’d been on a lovely circular wooded walk at nearby Hurcott Woods about 5 mins drive away. Wolverley is a lovely little village (we’ve stopped off a few times now), nice wooded walks and a good sized car park next to Gil’s tea room (also a fab place) which is next door to the Queens Head - we will be returning for sure.
Obsolute gem of a find!
Staying at the caravan and camping site with friends. Out for an afternoon stroll and a couple of drinks.
Back room had lovely comfy chairs and a pool table … perfect. Whilst there we booked a table for the evening too!
In the evening we returned, table was ready for us when we arrived. A few other couples were in there too. The meals being served were looking awesome. Our order was taken and even though one of our meals were not available a substitute was made quickly.
When the food arrived all four meals were very well presented and tasted amazing to say the least !
The staff were amazing and very professional even though there was another diner who wasn’t happy with his meal. You can never please everyone!
Then it came to choosing desserts … was not disappointed there either!
Our food and drink was amazing, the staff were awesome and I’m sure we will be back if we stay in the area again!
Big thank you from us and keep up the good work!
Great local pub with a cosy atmosphere, friendly staff, and fantastic food. Had Sunday lunch today and there was a great selection of meats available (I had venison), beautifully plated and with plenty of veg provided. Dessert was also fantastic. All in all it was a great dining experience and well worth the price. Would highly recommend the Sunday roasts and also the Saturday morning breakfasts which we have had on a previous visit.
Lovely pub. Friendly staff. 5* Service at the table, the lady was lovely who served us. Was a bit surprised that there wasn't much on the menu to pick from. But the meal was beautiful. Will definitely be going back
Visited The Queens Head today for Sunday lunch . First class meal . Top quality fresh food . Served hot by very friendly staff. Nothing to much trouble. Homemade deserts were amazing . Lovely village pub . Highly recommend a visit to this very welcoming pub in a beautiful village
Went for Valentine's night. Lovely food. Well presented. Service good. We were sat in line of doorway to back passage so were a bit chilly.
