Quick Facts About Elsie Logan Memorial Park

Elsie Logan Memorial Park has several strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One of the strengths of the park is its size and variety of amenities. Commenters mention that it is a big space with almost everything. This suggests that there are plenty of activities and playground equipment for children to enjoy. The park has a stage, swings, a basketball court, and a new playground. This variety allows for both physical and mental challenges for children, providing a well-rounded experience.
Another strength of the park is the presence of a community center. This can be a valuable resource for hosting events, such as parties or concerts. The availability of a pavilion with shaded picnic tables is also mentioned, highlighting the park's suitability for gatherings. Additionally, the proximity of a softball and baseball field suggests that the park may be used for organized sports activities as well.
The park is also described as somewhat safe for toddlers, indicating that there may be appropriate facilities and measures in place to ensure the well-being of young children. This can be a significant advantage for families with toddlers who want a safe and enjoyable outdoor space.
The park's negatives include a lack of available bathrooms. Multiple commenters mention the inconvenience of having to walk a significant distance to access bathrooms, which are not properly maintained or stocked. This can be a major drawback, especially for families with young children who may require frequent restroom breaks.
Another weakness mentioned is the condition of the community center building. One commenter describes it as not being for the community and expresses disappointment with the lack of access to the bathroom. This suggests that the building may not be adequately maintained or accessible for public use, potentially limiting its functionality for events or gatherings.
Other concerns raised include the issue of parking. One commenter mentions that parking was a problem during their event, with insufficient spaces and the majority of spaces being used by county workers. This indicates a lack of planning or coordination in managing parking arrangements for park users.
In conclusion, Elsie Logan Memorial Park has several strengths, including its size, variety of amenities, and suitability for hosting events. However, there are also weaknesses, such as a lack of available bathrooms, issues with the community center building, and difficulties with parking. These weaknesses should be addressed to improve the overall experience and functionality of the park.

Wow ???? it’s a big space with almost everything. The stage could use some refurbishing, but I love ❤️ the new playground. There is a community center not sure where the bathrooms are . A basketball ???? court and swings. Great place to host a party ???? or concert . And next door is a softball ???? baseball ⚾️ field perhaps. A church ⛪️ is across the way as well. Nice area it’s somewhat safe for toddlers . I would highly recommend!
This is a nice little park. Lots of variety for the kids with good physical and mental challenges to overcome. There is a pavilion with picnic tables that is shaded.
We rented the building for a baby shower. We had over 60 people which I told them at the time I filled out and paid for it in Jan, the baby shower was 4/1. Nobody said oh parking might be a problem as 80% of the spaces on weekends are used by county workers as they can’t take them home. There’s an additional parking lot way down by the baseball fields why can’t they park there or when someone pays $200 for the building which means parking too and they knew for 2 months that they don’t arrange for them to park at another county facility or park. The ac is set at 72 you can’t lower it I tried and it got to 75 and it was getting uncomfortable but we survived. If you use this building make sure to address the parking before you pay and get it in writing if you can get them to do something or that you are entitled to a partial refund.
My daughter had a blast. They have a merry go round and swings also. Just need a bathroom closer to that area. Loved it otherwise.
My kids had so much fun with all the different things to do. There were no other kids. So it makes me wonder if anyone else knows about this park!! Will be back to do my sons birthday party!!
The park is nice but no available bathrooms.
Took my 4 year old great granddaughter here today. Playground is nice, community center building right next to it is obviously NOT for the community. When I asked to allow her to use the bathroom I was told no that bathrooms were down by the baseball park, some 3 to 400 yards away. Which were not properly maintained port a potties. Another couple 100 yards further was another building with bathroom but dirty and no soap. If this is what our taxes are being used for, we are not getting our money's worth. Remember this park was initially built by property and ballparks were built by donations and local donated labor and supplies. Perhaps Pasco County should give it back to the people. I was not a happy grandma!
The kids have always loved this park and they have been steadily improving it. Can’t tell you how sad we were when the metal merry go round was taken out, but had a pleasant surprise to find the new one closer to the play area and stage. If you plan on reserving the pavilion and celebrating here, make sure to get the key for the bathrooms.
