Quick Facts About Evangelo's Restaurant
Evangelo's Restaurant has received a mix of positive and negative comments, which can help us analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the establishment.
One of the strengths mentioned is the variety and quality of the food. Customers have praised dishes such as the Gyro Pizza, fried ravioli, Philly cheesesteak, and steak sandwich. The positive feedback on the food suggests that the restaurant has a diverse menu with delicious options.
Another strength of Evangelo's is the ability to accommodate large groups. One customer mentioned that they come with a group of 8-10 people and have no trouble finding options for everyone. This indicates that the restaurant is capable of handling larger parties and providing a range of menu choices.
Customer service is also highlighted as a strength. Multiple comments mention pleasant and attentive waitstaff. The fact that the chef went out of their way to accommodate a request for an off-menu item shows a level of customer service that goes above and beyond.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is described positively as elegant, with a great feel. This suggests that the ambiance and decor contribute to a pleasant dining experience.
However, there are also weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One customer had a negative experience on their birthday dinner. The prime rib dinners were overcooked, and the vegetables were described as soggy and bland. Additionally, the customer's husband was given both horseradish cups, indicating a mistake in the service. These instances suggest that there may be inconsistencies in food quality and attention to detail.
Another significant weakness highlighted is the issue of food sitting out, potentially leading to food-borne illnesses. A customer expressed concern about food being prepared in advance and left out for an extended period before being plated. This raises concerns about food safety practices at the restaurant.
Pricing is also mentioned as a concern. One customer felt that the food did not justify the price, describing it as overpriced. This indicates that the value for money may not be perceived as satisfactory by some customers.
In summary, Evangelo's Restaurant has strengths in terms of food variety and quality, the ability to accommodate large groups, positive customer service, and a pleasant atmosphere. However, they also have weaknesses in consistency of food quality, attention to detail, potential food safety issues, and perceived pricing. It is important for the restaurant to address these weaknesses to maintain and improve overall customer satisfaction.

Their Gyro Pizza is my favorite! We usually eat here once a week, during the summer & Evangelo's never disappoints. We come with a big group, usually 8-10, plus a couple kids, and we never have a hard time finding yummy choices for all. Last night, we ordered everything from pizza, to prime rib, to pasta. The chef was even nice enough to make one of our little guys an off menu item, on a busy Friday night. That's great service!!
We went here for my birthday dinner. Wait time was about 20mins so we sat at the bar and enjoyed a drink. Service all around was good. Disappointment came when our prime rib dinners were delivered over cooked. We ordered medium rare and from the pix you can see they were medium. The waitress did go back and apparently they had run out of Med-rare and failed to notify the servers. Ok
I was looking forward to some nice in season veggies but they were super soggy...I'd swear they were frozen...very bland. Lastly, we were 1/2 way through our meals when we realized that they gave my husband both of our horseradish cups....I figured they just served without. Little complaints really but they add up
Best fried ravioli of my life!
This elegant restaurant has a great feel, and excellent food, all while being well priced! Service is great as well! They were very attentive to our drinks and made sure we were well taken care of. I had the Philly with soup, and my husband had the steak sandwich with fries. It’s a lot of food, and we’ll worth it.
FOOD SITTING OUT CAN CAUSE FOOD-BORN DISEASES OR ILLNESSES:
I *highly* suggest that this place be closed down.
Shortly after arriving at the establishment yesterday afternoon for a party, I noticed that food was already prepared and laid out for serving on a buffet style table, after asking a friend who’d arrived 30 minutes earlier than myself, he said it had already been there when he got there at 5:00. The appetizers were to be ready at 5:30 and were not ready till almost 6:00. The fire under the food was not set until 15 minutes prior to the food being ready to be plated by the other patrons. Yet again, dinner was to be ready at 6:30 and was not ready until 7 o’clock that evening. To make matters worse, later that night my wife woke up puking at 1 in the morning what you see here is her plate. The potatoes were bland. And as we were told that once EVERYONE had had a plate we could go back for seconds, as I did so I was told that the food was not to be touched due to the fact that it would be sold upstairs later that night. (That is a lawsuit waiting to happen if you can understand what’s being said here.) I shrugged as I filled a to-go box given to me by another staff member.
I planned an event here on 11-19 in the banquet room for 60+ people and I am so pleased with my experience and the food. The room was decorated for the holidays, it looked great. Everyone I spoke to who attended was very pleased with their meal. Staff was pleasant and courteous. Staff was immediately responsive when any need arose. I will plan to have my holiday event at this venue again next year.
I feel like I go here so often lately I’m becoming a regular. The last 6 months they have somehow upped their game. Their drink specials capture my eye every time. Their lavender steak sauce has my heart. Do not, I repeat, do not get their breadsticks with white sauce because you will become horribly addicted…it’s awful…don’t do it ????. With foods cooked perfectly, the presentation is beautiful but despite the upper class feel it’s still a great all around eating location whether it’s date night, or family dinner. Go in a tux or your carharts and you’re good!
The service was on top of the list for this experience. Our waitress was very attentive and patient with my two boys and I. The food was average and, in my opinion, did not justify the tab of $40+ per person (to be fair, that includes the tip) split between the three of us. 1 appetizer, 3 entrées, 1 dessert, 3 sodas. But my kids left happy so what can I say. The bottom line is decent but overpriced.
Went out for a family dinner and we had the best time. The Seafood Aribiatta was great and we loved the soups. Our server Kenny made it such a good experience. He was very attentive and professional but also really funny and entertaining. We will definitely come back and request Kenny again soon
