Quick Facts About Luxury Nails & Spa of Cookeville
Luxury Nails & Spa of Cookeville has both strengths and weaknesses, as indicated by the comments provided.
One of the strengths mentioned in the comments is the successful execution of a French manicure with almond-shaped nails. A customer appreciated the outcome and mentioned that another salon had failed in attempting the same. This indicates that the salon has the capability to fulfill certain requests and deliver satisfying results.
Another positive aspect mentioned is the overall appearance of the nails. A customer states that their nails look great after visiting the salon. This suggests that the salon has skilled technicians who can provide aesthetically pleasing results.
On the other hand, there are several weaknesses that have been highlighted. One recurring issue is poor communication and understanding between the technicians and customers. Customers have expressed frustration over not being able to effectively communicate their desires and having their requests disregarded. This indicates a lack of attentiveness to customer preferences and a failure to provide proper consultation.
The lack of professionalism is another drawback mentioned in the comments. There are instances where the technicians did not display appropriate behavior towards customers. This includes making fun of a customer's toes and being rude and dismissive. Such behavior can create a negative and unwelcoming atmosphere for customers.
Billing issues have also been raised by customers. In one comment, a customer complains about being charged extra without prior consent. This demonstrates a lack of transparency and potential dishonesty in the salon's billing practices. Additionally, another customer mentions being charged more than expected, which indicates a discrepancy between the prices advertised and the actual charges.
Another weakness highlighted is the quality of certain services. Customers have reported unsatisfactory outcomes, such as rough pedicures and nails not being properly trimmed, filed, or painted. These instances suggest a lack of attention to detail and competence in performing certain services.
Furthermore, there are claims made by customers that the salon is unresponsive to feedback and complaints. Customers state that the management does not seem to care about customer satisfaction. This lack of responsiveness can further contribute to an unsatisfactory customer experience.
In conclusion, while Luxury Nails & Spa of Cookeville has some strengths in terms of successful nail designs and overall appearance, there are several weaknesses that need to be addressed. These include poor communication, unprofessional behavior, billing issues, and subpar service quality. It is important for the salon to address these weaknesses in order to improve customer satisfaction and maintain their reputation within the industry.

I requested for this guy to do a French ombre manicure and he instead did a regular French, he said it looks better and probably faster for him to get done. Just tell me next time you couldn't do it or don't know how to do it and I'll wait for the other guy that does it. You can't even make your own decision here, he insists and does it his own style. Since when is it his decision of the style I'm going for? Looking at the reviews here, management don't even care whether your happy with their service or not.
Ask for all prices before they touch you, no matter what the Internet or the booklets say. They make them up as they go. This is sad for me because I had a nail tech that I liked there and was a regular.
Today I was a walk in for a pedicure, and I had an older man who did the 45 dollar pedicure and a manicure. My feet are as rough, peeling, and scaling as they were when I went in. I even made him work on my heels for a few seconds after I was done, but he wasn’t gonna put any effort into it. I didn’t get polish, so my feet are no different. I’m too embarrassed to leave a picture.
My manicure was 5 minutes long, but they charged 5 extra dollars for buffing my nails. I didn’t ask them to do it They charged 5 extra dollars for taking my polish off, which they’ve never done any other time. I told the lady up front this, but she just wanted the money. It was my last visit for sure
I got a basic manicure and the lady Who did my nails had no idea what I was saying when I said I want my nails trimmed she needed her coworker next her to translate everything. She didn’t ask for the shape, broke one of my nails filed it crooked, then proceeded to paint them thick and wavy. I had her remove it and I just left with them plain. Pretty sure she never went to Beauty school and was working without a license! I will not go back.
I got my nails done 2 weeks ago and I usually don’t post reviews but this place is horrible and I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK. I wanted a new acrylic set put on and a simple design. She basically gave me a fill in and didn’t do what I wanted on my nails and got smart with me when I said something to her about it. I told my aunt about it and told her who did my nails and she told me she did my cousins nails before and they came out horrible as well, so DO NOT LET THE LADY WHO WEARS SCRUBS do your nails there. I ended up getting my nails redone somewhere else once I left this place.
I got a pedicure and the guy was rough My calves are still sore and I had this done saturday. He also made fun of my toes saying where are your toes you have numbs. Like who says that to a costumer. Also the nail tech cut my thumb. Ended up having to come back up there to have them fix my nails because they were too sharp. this is the first time I’ve had my nails done in four years and I will not be back.
EDIT; THIS SALON CHARGED MY CARD $10 EXTRA WITHOUT ASKING! THESE PEOPLE ARE A SCAM DO NOT COME HERE!!!
My nails look great however I was asked probably over 4 times if I wanted regular or gel polish which I responded regular every time… I took out exactly $40 because that’s what their website said for an acrylic fill and polish change for toes. When I went to pay they charged me $65 which I did not have!! And I wanted to cry I was so upset and stressed out. My nails have never looked better but I’ll NEVER come back.
I went in today had mani-pedi I wanted french manicure on almond shaped nails another salon ATTEMPTED IT they failed!! LUXURY was successful its beautiful
I won't be back. I went in asking for a natural ombre with beige peachy and bright white ombre. Was specific in my request for coloring and was told what "would look better" than what I wanted. Did not have samples to show me or guve me the time to explain what inreally wanted. He did what was the quickest for him, not what i wanted as the customer. He was rude and did exactly what I said I did not want and did not give me options even close to what I was asking for. Ended up with a cheesy pink and white ombre which is specifically what I said I did not want. Easier to throw my hands up and walk out with something rather than fight with someone who I couldn't understand. It's been 5 days and the top coat is already wearing off. Will continue my search for a good nail salon here.
