Quick Facts About Hillside Nails II

Hillside Nails II is a nail salon that has received mixed reviews from customers. While there are some strengths mentioned in the comments, there are also several weaknesses that need to be addressed. In this analysis, we will discuss both the strengths and weaknesses of Hillside Nails II based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one common theme that stands out is the positive feedback about the staff, particularly Cindy and Susan. Customers mention that Cindy is a caring person who provides meticulous pedicures and manicures. This highlights the skill and attention to detail of the nail technicians at Hillside Nails II, which is a significant strength for any salon. Additionally, customers appreciate the lovely treatment they receive from the staff, as well as the good prices and wide range of colors to choose from for SNS (Signature Nail Systems). The social distancing measures implemented by Hillside Nails II, including temperature checks, handwashing, and physical separation of seats with heavy plastic, are also mentioned as a strength, reflecting their commitment to protecting customers from COVID-19.
However, there are also several weaknesses that need to be addressed. One recurring issue mentioned in the comments is the inconsistency in the quality of service provided by different nail technicians. While some technicians are praised for their great job and meticulousness, others are criticized for working too fast and not paying attention to detail. This inconsistency can lead to a lack of trust and dissatisfaction among customers. Another weakness mentioned is the inability of some technicians to do eyebrows correctly. This indicates a lack of expertise or training in that particular service.
Furthermore, some customers express dissatisfaction with the response they received when raising issues or complaints. One customer mentioned the lack of attention to detail when addressing small areas that were cracking, which led to a defensive response from the technician instead of a willingness to fix the problem. This lack of customer service and accountability can create a negative experience for patrons. Similarly, another customer mentioned that the owner tried to convince them that they were satisfied with the service, despite their expressed dissatisfaction. This lack of understanding and refusal to acknowledge the customer's concerns can further damage the salon's reputation.
Price is another aspect that is brought up as a weakness. One customer mentioned that the filling service is overpriced compared to other salons in the area. This indicates that Hillside Nails II may not offer competitive pricing and could be losing potential customers as a result. Additionally, a customer mentioned that the gel manicure peeled off within a week, highlighting a lack of long-lasting quality in their services.
Finally, one of the most concerning weaknesses mentioned is the incident where a customer's skin was accidentally cut during a manicure. This injury is a serious issue that displays a lack of carefulness and attention to safety protocols by the nail technician. This can be highly distressing for customers and can permanently damage the salon's reputation if not handled properly.
In conclusion, Hillside Nails II has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. The positive aspects include caring staff, meticulous services by certain technicians, good prices, a wide range of colors, and strong COVID-19 safety measures. However, there are several areas for improvement, including inconsistent service quality, lack of expertise in certain areas, poor customer service when handling complaints, noncompetitive pricing, lack of long-lasting results, and a serious incident of injuring a customer. Addressing these weaknesses will be crucial for improving the overall customer experience and reputation of Hillside Nails II.

Best TL Reviews

Cindy especially, is a very good and caring person.
She is meticulous and very good with doing pedicure and manicure. I am a client of the salon for the past 4 years, and very pleased with it, and their protection against the virus.
Lovely ladies. Treat you very nicely. Good prices, lots of colors to choose for SNS. Will definitely come back.
They have the best social distance set up I have ever seen. I got my pedi-spa done there and it was fabulous! First they check your temperature and you sign your name @ phone info. And then you must wash your hands before service. Well that's just fine with me. The safety is everything when visiting these places. But what really did it for me was the separation of the seats with heavy plastic! It was like sitting in your own booth. I am just saying people if your in Queens and want to be safe with this Covid, please check them out.
Always try to sell SNS powder nails. Done too thick only last 10 days. Sometimes a nice job. No one can do eyebrows right.
Most of the nail techs here do a great job. There is one tech who I no longer allow to do my SNS nails. She works too fast and is not meticulous. Nails start to come off by day 5/6. Other techs are great. Their special spa pedicure w/ callus remover/ leg wrap is awesome.
Susan is my nail stylist, always does a Fantastic job
Everytime I go to this nail salon for a last minute anything I regret it. I will say the Spanish ladies are very nice and do a really good pedicure. If you want anything from the "seasoned" Chinese ladies that isn't basic. Expect a lot of "I can't, or I don't know how to". Expect a lot of back talk. This salon needs to realize the customer is always right. We are in America. If you have been doing nails for 20 years you should have a keen attention to detail. Why wear glasses if you can't see? I had to mention small areas that were cracking. Instead of saying no problem paying customer. I will fix for you. She just kept saying it's not my fault. Ma'am what does that have to do with you fixing it and having attention to detail. The filling here is over priced $20. Queens is like $15 for a filling. I went on a Monday. Usually most salons have a special Monday to right. They are over charging for mediocre work and lots of back talk. Just pay attention to detail please and stop talking back to the customers.
Update: 7 days later and the cheap gel peels right off. What a waste of money.
Nah.. gel manicure was less then mediocre and she chopped a piece of my skin off, was bleeding. She didn’t removed all the excess cuticles on my hands or toes... my pedicure was horrible and chipped within the first 24 hours. I told the owner I wasn’t happy and showed her and she tried to convince me otherwise. I said no and only got $6 off. I’m soo mad with the results, I’ll have to get my toes done again elsewhere. Will never go back here!!
