Food and service was excellent. New chef and new menu, the food was superb! Ordered the surf and turf (10oz sirloin steak and lobster) with a duck starter - the meals were excellent. Steak was succulent and cooked to perfection, the staff were friendly and service was very quick. Highly recommend.
This was our second visit, and it was just as awful as the first visit! Beautiful setting but the service was shocking, we went the second time because everyone deserves a second chance, but we will not be going again. I understand we are in a pandemic and everyone is stretched, but when people arrive well after you and get served before you is appalling, then to be asked if we wanted food before the kitchen closed then not come back to take our order, is extremely poor service, this us besides the attitude off the server when asked what beers they had in. We chose to spend our time and money at the Fairways, what a waste it was.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch today ???? myself, hubby and daughter had a mix of Beef and Turkey and my son had Pork, it really took me back to my mum's Sunday dinners with carrot and suede mash, cabbage, roasties, new potatoes and veg. Dessert we had Sticky toffee pudding which I can honestly say was the best we've ever had, my son had cheesecake which was devoured, thankyou to head chef Cyril for an outstanding meal ????. The views from the dining area are just outstanding. Our waitress Deb was so helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble as well as the other staff ???? we will will definitely be eating here again in the near future 10 out of 10 ????
Stopped off for a light lunch. Good menu & lovely position on the front. We sat outside as a sunny day. Good food & nice atmosphere. We will be back for the lobster meal which sounds delicious.
Visited Saturday evening with my partner for an evening meal. I had the burger with bacon & cheese & my partner had sirlion steak with mushroom sauce both with hand cut chips & it was all delicious! Lovely bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Service very good. Love the chandeliers especially when they were dimmed...
