Quick Facts About Fantastic Sams Cut & Color
Fantastic Sams Cut & Color has a mix of positive and negative feedback from customers, which highlights both their strengths and weaknesses. In terms of strengths, the salon seems to have talented and skilled stylists like Mimi and Skylar, who are praised for their ability to provide beautiful haircuts and highlights. Customers appreciate their professionalism and knowledge of hair coloring techniques. Additionally, the salon offers coupons and competitive prices, attracting customers who are looking for affordable options.
However, there are several weaknesses that need to be addressed. One major issue is the inconsistency in pricing and the lack of transparency. A customer complained about being charged $120 for a trim and root color, which they felt was too expensive and not of good quality. Another customer mentioned that the salon had a coupon for a cut, color, and style for $59.99, but the owner refused to honor it due to the length of their hair not being specified on the coupon. This lack of clarity and the unwillingness to accommodate customers' requests can create a negative experience.
Furthermore, many customers complained about unprofessional and unsatisfactory service. One customer described Fantastic Sams as the "worst, most unprofessional salon" they had ever been to, recounting a series of unfortunate events, including miscommunication, unexpected charges for hair drying, and the stylist coloring their hair black instead of dark brown. This negative experience was compounded by the salon's focus on money rather than customer satisfaction. Another review mentioned an uncomfortable encounter with a barber who struggled to cut an African American child's hair, potentially indicating a lack of expertise or cultural sensitivity within the salon.
Several customers had negative experiences with specific stylists, such as Debra, who was criticized for not being able to cover gray hair properly and lacking communication skills. Another customer had an unfortunate bleach job, resulting in cheetah spots on their hair. These incidents suggest a lack of consistency and quality control in the salon.
In conclusion, while Fantastic Sams Cut & Color has some strengths, such as talented stylists and competitive pricing, there are notable weaknesses that need improvement. Issues with pricing transparency, inconsistency in service quality, unprofessionalism, and lack of expertise in certain areas detract from the overall customer experience. Addressing these weaknesses and focusing on customer satisfaction would greatly benefit the salon's reputation and success.

If you want beautiful highlights, I wouldn't go anywhere else and ask for Mimi. She did a fantastic job!!! She is a rock star and super sweet and professional. She absolutely knows, what she is doing.
Hard to say. I was not expecting to pay $120 at Fantastic Sams for a trim and color my roots. I don't think she did a good job coloring my roots. It looked fine when I was there but when I look at it today not too good
Let me tell you there is one person I trust with my hair and that is Skylar! Skylar is amazing with color he will always make sure your color is uniquely yours. In general he is an amazing hairdresser! You should book all your appointments with him. ????
AVOID THIS SALON AT ALL COST. Worst, most unprofessional salon I have been to. Called to go in for a full color, rather than spending a little more at a nice "expensive" salon for just a simple full color. Biggest regret ever. They had a coupon online for "59.99 cut color and style" with nothing else written or any restrictions mentioned except that you need to print it and present it. I called and asked if I can use it, the lady on the phone asked how long my hair was and I mentioned that it was a little below my armpits and she said uhhh okay just print the coupon and bring it, so I did. When I get to the salon, the owner says my hair is too long for the coupon...i'm like nowhere does it say that the coupon is for a certain length of hair, and I mentioned the length over the phone when I made the appointment. I asked if they can just do the color and style for the $60 price, because I didn't want a cut anyway and they still said no. They said they will do just the color for $90... at that point I was just annoyed, considering I could spend the same amount at a luxury salon ( I called a few before and they quoted me at $100, but I thought I could save some money by going to a more "average" salon, I learned my lesson the hard way). I agreed because I didn't feel like dealing with it anymore. I sit down and the hairdresser brings the color chart. I went in with brown hair and wanted to go a bit darker, I showed her I wanted the darkest brown and emphasized NOT BLACK multiple times. She said "oh that's basically black" ...but it's not. I have gotten my hair done dark brown before and I didn't want the permanent black-ness. I mentioned again, I would like the color I pointed at. She went to the back and mixed the color. Finished dyeing, washing, go back to the chair. She blow dries my hair for a minute and says okay thank you. I'm like...you're not going to dry my hair? Nope, that's $30 extra....what?????????? NEVER EVER in my life have a been to a salon that charges EXTRA to dry your hair. I was mind blown. I was overall sick of the experience and knew i'm never going back there before I even sat in the chair. Left a nice tip and paid $110 for the worst experience of my life. ON TOP OF THAT I go home, dry my hair, and I am SHOCKED that my hair was BLACK. not dark brown. BLACK. when I specifically mentioned to NOT do black. Super unprofessional. She probably didn't have the color I wanted and thought I won't notice. Do yourself a favor and spend an extra $20 at a nice salon, and they will dry your hair and color it the color you asked for with better customer service. This salon clearly only cares about money.
Side note, an African American family came in and wanted their son's hair cut. I observed an elderly male barber have him in his chair and a few minutes later exclaim "I CAN'T DO IT!" loudly. He spoke to his coworker and said "his hair is too thick, I can't cut it" and then another hairdresser took over and said "i've never done this, but i'll try" and kept saying how hard it was to cut. I felt uncomfortable, I can't imagine how the 10 year old getting his hair cut felt.
I went to this place last week, mainly to cover my gray hair. DEBRA took me, told her I needed my gray covered, we agreed on dark color, she colored my hair. I didn’t really see the end result since I was in a hurry and hair being wet. When my hair finally dries at home, I could still see my GRAY, very disappointed for paying $59.99 to cover my gray hair. She couldn’t even do it right. She doesn’t know what she is doing. DO NOT go to DEBRA!!! She is unprofessional, unskilled, she doesn’t even talk. I went back there, the very same day, she didn’t even say sorry or what so ever, she colored it again, I just went home with color, washed it myself, I’m a very busy mom....regret going to her... never again...
I received probably the worst bleach job I’ve ever had here at this salon… I had cheetah spots all over the back of my head. I had to go somewhere else to not only fix the cheetah spots, but ended up having to cut off half of my hair as well. Wouldn’t recommend.
I have been going to Debra since 2017. She knows exactly what I want and colors my hair beautifully
Mimi Is my stylist. She is absolutely fantastic!
