Weaknesses:
1. Lack of cleanliness and sanitation: Multiple customers voiced concerns about the salon's cleanliness. One customer described the salon as dirty and mentioned that the manicurist was watching soap operas on an iPad while doing their nails. Another customer mentioned questionable sanitation practices, such as tools not being properly sanitized and employees not wearing masks. Additionally, one customer mentioned seeing the salon pour dirty manicure water into the pedicure bowl, indicating poor sanitation practices.
2. Inconsistency in service quality: One customer mentioned being disappointed with the service quality during their most recent visit, despite having had positive experiences in the past. They noted that the technician did not listen to their requests and performed a subpar pedicure. Another customer mentioned that their friend's pedicurist was playing a game on an iPad during the service, indicating a lack of professionalism.
3. High prices: One customer mentioned being charged $65 for a plain set of acrylics with gel. This price seemed high compared to the standard they got from other salons. High prices may deter potential customers and lead to dissatisfaction if the quality of service does not meet expectations.
4. Limited payment options: One customer mentioned that the salon only accepted cash and Venmo payments, which were classified as personal instead of business. This limitation may inconvenience customers who prefer alternative payment methods and raises concerns about the salon's financial practices.
Overall, Five Star Nails & Spa has strengths in terms of skilled and professional staff, keeping up with trends, friendly customer service, and producing beautiful work. However, the salon faces weaknesses in terms of cleanliness and sanitation, inconsistency in service quality, high prices, and limited payment options. Addressing these weaknesses would be crucial for the salon's success and reputation.

I visited this nail salon hoping to get pride themed toenails. The manicurist assured me that they would be able to create a design as long as I opted for the more expensive gel coating. The first artist was unable to create a design and another technician had to take over. Due to this they used a grinder to partially remove the first attempt. A new design was attempted that somewhat resembled that desired design of a simple pride rainbow design. Within two days the gel coating began to peel off my toenails leaving a product that was chipped and unpresentable.
This was such a bad experience. The salon is dirty. Like gross on many levels. The lady rushed my nails and was literally watching soap operas on an ipad while she did my nails. They are nowhere near the standard I get from other salons and she charged me $65 dollars for a plain set of acrylics with gel. Then she complained I didnt have cash for a tip. Seriously, don't go here.
First off the gentleman that did my pedicure
Did an amazing job and was very professional
But the man who did my nails was just the absolute worse. One the way they use tools and don’t sanitize is questionable. There was multiple workers whom Didn’t wear mask . I told the man who did my nails that there was uneven bubbles of. Nail polish that he put on my nails and he started speaking to his coworker who was not wearing a mask and on the phone the whole time she was doing nails . I should be able to let the know if the job is not to my satisfaction especially when they change 70 bucks for a full set. That’s completely unprofessional and poor customer service.
My second issue was that they only take cash and venmo and put it as personal instead of business. She insisted on putting her information on my phone and proceeded to send help the money. I cannot express enough how bad this experience was and would not recommend this nail salon to anyone. please be ware ! Do not come here
Stopped here with no appointment a couple weeks ago at about 10am on a friday and only waited 5 minutes, got the most expensive option for a pedicure $60 and it was worth it, the extra foot massage was well paid for. Although the polish came off one of my pinky toes a week later. I'd definitely go back, wish I knew the name of my nail technician but she was friendly, helpful with the massage chair, and helped me put my shoes back on when she finished.
The staff is very sweet and up to date with the latest trends. They do clean beautiful work. An appointment isn't needed but it helps with the wait times. I highly recommend this place.
When you get a Mani pedi in the same chair not at the table The water they used to get your manicure they would toss it out on the sidewalk And I saw them put the dirty manicure water also into the pedicure bowl you're getting your pedicure in. They have a sink to pour it out in and wash it out but they didn't make use of it When I was there. To me that's not clean or sanitary
I used to go to this nail salon very often and always had a great experience and service! But going yesterday after almost a year I was Very disappointed!! The tech doing my pedicure would not listen to me and barely did my toes. He did not push back my cuticles and filed the top of one of my toes because he wasn’t looking. ????
The tech doing my friends pedicure was PLAYING A GAME on her iPad while doing her service. I felt bad to not leave a tip, so I did, but the service I received did NOT deserve it. Sad to see a great location go to waste.
Theresa did a wonderful job on my nails. She was caring and took pride in her work. Highly recommend.
