Quick Facts About Flamingo Motel
The Flamingo Motel, located in Seaside Heights, has received a mix of positive and negative feedback from guests. In order to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the motel, we will analyze the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, the first commenter expresses appreciation for the motel's location, noting its proximity to the beach. This is a significant benefit for guests who want easy access to the seaside. Additionally, the commenter mentions that the price of the motel is reasonable, indicating that it is a budget-friendly option for those seeking an affordable stay.
Another strength highlighted is the presence of Art, the manager. The first commenter describes him as the nicest and hardest-working manager, suggesting that he ensures a positive experience for guests. This commendation may speak to Art's dedication and customer service skills.
Continuing with the positive feedback, a guest exclaims that the Flamingo Motel is "one of a kind" due to its convenient location close to the beach and boardwalk. The commenter further praises the motel for its beautiful pool and well-equipped rooms. They also appreciate the friendly staff, demonstrating the presence of good customer service.
Contrasting with the positive comments, there are several complaints that need to be considered as potential weaknesses of the Flamingo Motel. One of the most significant issues is the maintenance of the rooms. One commenter stated that their bathroom had no light, and they had to bring in a lamp to shower. There were also reports of sand in the bed, indicating poor cleanliness. Additionally, another guest mentions that the air conditioning unit was so dirty that they were afraid to turn it on due to potential dust dispersal.
These cleanliness and maintenance concerns are further highlighted by a different commenter who describes the motel as "disgusting" and comparable to a homeless shelter. They mention the horrible people running the place and the perceived nastiness of the environment. Another guest shares a similar sentiment, noting the presence of cigarette odor and a coughing employee at the front desk, which does not create a welcoming atmosphere.
Furthermore, there are reports of subpar customer service from the management. One guest claims to have been thrown out when they tried to complain, while another calls the owner a "rude little gray-haired man." These experiences indicate a lack of professionalism and poor management practices.
Another weakness highlighted by a dissatisfied guest is the discrepancy between the reserved and provided rooms. Instead of the expected three rooms with two double beds, they were given three rooms with a single bed that were not even cleaned. The rooms were described as dirty and dusty, with stained mattresses and no towels or toilet paper provided. This lack of attention to detail and cleanliness is concerning for a motel.
In addition, there were reports of noise disturbances caused by staff parties, which led to the involvement of the police. This indicates a lack of consideration for guests and a disregard for their comfort and well-being during their stay.
In conclusion, the Flamingo Motel has both strengths and weaknesses. Its main strengths include its location near the beach and boardwalk, as well as its affordability. The presence of a dedicated and friendly manager is also noted. However, there are significant weaknesses, including cleanliness and maintenance issues, poor customer service from the management, and disturbances caused by staff parties. These weaknesses must be addressed by the motel in order to improve and provide a more positive experience for guests.

Was there last year and it was nice and decided to attempt to stay there again. Unfortunatly they are closed for the winter, but I can't wait for when they open again. Also Art is the nicest most hardworking manger a deserves a raise.
P.S. The person who commented a month ago is out of place I don't know where you stayed but it wasn't the Flamingo in seaside heights because as I said before they have been closed all winter. So I suggest you fix it if you truly believe that you stayed at a closed motel because I am sure that counts as trespassing and breaking and entering.
Pros: location, close to the beach, price
Cons: our bathroom had no light. we literally bought a lamp into the bathroom with us to shower lol. Our bed had sand in it. The AC was so dirty we were scared to turn it on & have dust fly everywhere
we were there for a short time so we just put up with it. we just wanted something close to the beach and cheap so you get what you pay for. this was also a few years ago so idk if they upgraded by now
This place is truly one of a kind, Snuggled cozily within walking distance of the beach and the boardwalk this place has it all! A beautiful pool, a wonderfully set up room and a staff that would make hell feel friendly! Imagine being able to wake up at 9 am, smoke a cigarette while still laying in bed, and then get up and within three minutes be on the beach!. I cannot believe this hidden gem is as cheap as it is. Truly one of a kind if you’re looking for a great weekend getaway!!
Disgusting. Looks like a homeless shelter. People who run it are horrible and the place is so nasty. If I was homeless I'd rather live in the streets. Don't every ever go there. When we tried to say something he threw us out
This place was a great stay. Very close to the beach!! Very nice pool!! Extremely nice people in the front office that helped us out tremendously. Over all would definitely sleep here again for sure!!
The is a older motel setting but cool place in great location nice clean pool the manager art couldn't be nicer guy the rooms are clean and maintain. I recommend it to anyone
Disgusting. Man at desk was coughing up a lung as I was checking in. Office smelled of cigarettes. Didn't have a good feeling about the place. The staircase was loaded with cigarette butts. At the top of the stairs there was a board over a soft spot in the floor. A women who looked like she lived there told me to be careful and walk around it. The room was filthy. Worst place I have ever had the misfortune of walking into. Did not stay.
Our resuvation was for 3 rooms with 2 double beds. When we got there they gave us 3 rooms with a single bed that wasn't even cleaned. They tried to clean the rooms but they're really dirty and dusty. We had to lysol the rooms down, the showers were disgusting, the toilets had stains and the shower pole kept falling down. The mattress had old stains with just a sheet thrown over it. I actually brought my own sheets. There was no towels or toilet paper. Look out for the so call owner of the place a very rude little grey hair man. He kept insisting we give him $130 in cash for changing rooms. After we threatened to call a lawyer he left us alone. The staff partied until all hours until cops were called in. Stay away from this place!!!!!
