Quick Facts About Gujarati Kitchen
Gujarati Kitchen is a local restaurant that is receiving mixed reviews based on the comments provided. In order to assess its strengths and weaknesses, we will analyze the comments and identify common themes.
One common criticism mentioned by multiple reviewers is the lack of available options on the menu. Customers expressed disappointment in the limited selection and described it as a major drawback. This suggests that the restaurant may need to improve its menu offerings to cater to a wider range of preferences and dietary restrictions.
Another complaint raised by reviewers is the lack of freshness in the food. Customers mentioned that the chapatti was not fresh, curries were heated in the microwave and not hot, and one yogurt curry tasted off. This indicates a potential weakness in the restaurant's food preparation and quality control. Ensuring that food is freshly prepared and properly heated before serving should be a priority for the establishment.
Several reviewers also commented on the poor customer service they experienced at Gujarati Kitchen. One customer noted that the initial lady behind the counter lacked customer service skills and was unaware of what was available off the menu. This indicates a need for improved training and communication among the staff to provide a better dining experience for customers. However, another reviewer mentioned that another lady was friendly and more knowledgeable, suggesting that the customer service may vary depending on the staff members present.
Price was another concern raised by reviewers. Some felt that the food was overpriced considering the lack of freshness and limited options. One customer mentioned that the food quality was poor and not worth the expense. This indicates that the restaurant may need to reevaluate its pricing strategy or make improvements in the food quality to justify the prices charged.
Hygiene and presentation were also mentioned as weaknesses of Gujarati Kitchen. One customer described the food being served on plastic trays with plastic cutlery, no napkin, and an additional charge for water. This lack of attention to presentation and hygiene standards raises concerns about the overall cleanliness and compliance with food hygiene regulations at the establishment.
However, it is important to note that not all comments were negative. Some reviewers enjoyed specific dishes and mentioned positive experiences. One customer praised the matka biryani and recommended other dishes like vadapau and samosa chaat. Another mentioned that their Bhel Puri was nice and commended the customer service. These positive comments suggest that the restaurant has the potential to deliver good food and service, but consistency may be an issue.
Overall, based on the comments provided, Gujarati Kitchen has several areas for improvement. Expanding the menu options, ensuring freshness in the food, improving customer service and training, reevaluating pricing, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards are all areas that the restaurant should focus on to address the weaknesses highlighted by customers. However, the positive comments indicate that there is potential for success if these improvements are made.

Went here for a meal today, not tried it before. Really disappointed with the options as most of the things on the menus were not available. Finally tried a traditional tray. chapatti was not fresh, curries were heated in the microwave and were not hot. One off the yogurt curries tasted off.
I like supporting local businesses but I have to say this one really needs improving as the initial lady behind the counter doesn’t smile , no customer service skills and was unaware of what they have available off the menu.
Another lady was friendly and more on the ball.
Really need to get there act together and over priced for the area considering the food isn’t fresh.
Just WOW! really enjoyed ourselves, ate in and the service was perfect. We were recommended the matka biryani which consisted of paneer and presented in an earthen pot. The taste was amazing! Vadapau was a hit and recommend the samosa chaat. Excellent 10/10
On 22nd Oct I went with my Indian friend to share a nice meal and suppirt local business But was very disappointed.
The ood was served on plastic 'thali style' trays with plastic cutlery, no napkin and no water!
We asked for water, it was brought in a bottle at a charge of £1 each. We didn't want this so didn't open them and had to argue as we were charged for them.
The food we ordered was reheated in the microwave and they were cold. We had to ask twice for the food to be reheated!
The food isn't cheap and but that doesn't matter if its cooked nicely and served well. This establishment misses on all counts. I was even worried if it complied with Food Hygiene Regulations.
The staff clearly have no idea of customer service, have no idea about how good should be cooked and served.
Needless to say. We haven'treturned and certainly won't go again unless it improves.
Personally, I cannot see this establishment continuing unless it takes the food trade seriously and makes rapid and lasting quality improvements.
Expensive food, Food Quality was not good and we ordered thali but the rice were not properly cooked. I would never suggest this to anyone. Really Bad Experience and I’ll never go back to this place. Poor Quality food with Expensive Prices.
Wednesday 14 Dec 2022 time 14.30. Must have chosen a wrong day, but there was one trainee lady at the counter running the restaurant. Before us there were two lady customers who had already placed the order. When it arrived after a long wait, they just walked out disgusted just looking at their food. The restaurant lady did not look perturbed at all about her unprofessionalism or loss of business. And so it was our turn next. Everything in the menu was not available, There were a few varieties of pre-cooked food at the counter but they looked horribly unappetising - cold, stale and dreary, Yuk.
We placed an order on whatever was available, warmed up in the microwave. The saving grace was masala tea. But all in all the bill was steep and didn't justify either the service or the food quality.
For God's sake if you want to run the restaurant pay good money and employ a professional staff, not part-time student dishwashers fitted as kitchen chefs.
I haven't tried any of the other dishes so I can't give my experience. But it suggests the food is bad, really bad.
However, my Bhel Puri was nice. The customer service was very good and price paid was fair.
I loved the breakfast ????????.It was good experience with the food as well as the staff members ❤️????Keep growing????????.
