Quick Facts About Jones Fish & Chips

Jones Fish & Chips place has received mostly positive comments, highlighting its strengths such as the quality of the fish and chips, good service, affordable prices, and convenient pre-ordering system. However, there is also one negative comment which mentions issues with the batter and portion size.
One of the strengths of Jones Fish & Chips place is the quality of the food. Many reviewers mention that the fish is beautiful and flaky, and the chips are lovely. The freshness of the fish is also highlighted as a positive aspect. This indicates that the restaurant takes pride in using high-quality ingredients and ensuring that the food is cooked well.
Another strength of the place is the excellent service. Reviewers appreciate the friendly and welcoming staff, who provide a good customer experience. The fact that the staff is willing to accommodate requests for more salt and vinegar shows their attentiveness and willingness to please customers. The option to pre-order by phone is also seen as a convenient feature, allowing customers to avoid waiting in queues.
Affordability is another strength of Jones Fish & Chips place. Some reviewers mention that the prices are cheaper compared to other places, and the portions are larger. This suggests that the restaurant offers value for money, making it an attractive option for customers who want a good meal at a reasonable price.
In terms of location, the availability of a large car park nearby is seen as a positive aspect. This makes it convenient for customers to park their vehicles and visit the restaurant without any hassle.
However, there is one negative comment that points out issues with the batter and portion size. The reviewer mentions that on one occasion, the batter was not crisp and the fish portion was small, leading to disappointment. This suggests that there might be some inconsistency in the quality of the food, and such experiences can deter some customers from returning.
Overall, the strengths of Jones Fish & Chips place include the quality of the food, good service, affordability, and convenience of pre-ordering. These aspects contribute to a positive dining experience for most customers. However, the negative comment about inconsistent quality and portion sizes highlights a potential weakness that the restaurant should address to maintain customer satisfaction.

Best TL Reviews

Just had a lovely chippy tea from this chip shop, the fish was beautiful and so we're the chips, nothing was too much, lovely service with a smile, highly recommend ????????
Well, we are visitors from Cornwall who regularly visit the area to see our son who lives there.
There is no fish and chip shop in Cornwall that I’ve visited that even comes close - prob only Rex in Bugle. I have eaten at the coddy shack - Rick steins and all the fancy ones.
It’s so clean, the service is slick and is clearly customer driven. The prices are cheaper than Cornwall, portions larger, and fish fresher!!! Should that be so?
As a west country man I’ll no doubt be lynched for this review but I shall ask for Jones’s fish and chips as my last supper
Really good cod battered just right, nice flaky fish, lovely chips too & decent portions - best chippy for miles around in my opinion.
Lovely food. Great to pre-order on the phone beforehand to avoid queues.
Friendly service, good food and a good price. Large car park nearby what more do you want. Well worth a detour from the Newport bypass.
Usually excellent but tonight the batter wasn’t crisp and it was doughy inside and not much fish. Waste of money £6.50 for the large fish
Welcome back to R&H's crazy food reviews, this time coming to you on tour with special guest S chipping in to review Jones.
We went for a broad spread of chicken nuggets, a cheese burger, a chip butty and a lamb doner. Prices were on the cheaper side, about £5 each. The atmosphere was a tad muted, service being variable based if you get Jones himself of one of his trainees, and there js little seating available beyond a bench outside. The food itself was standard fare for a chippy, nothing too special.
To summarise, certainly a Newport staple but not outstanding on the wider stage.
Until next time,
Pasta la Vista.
Best chippy in along time used many chip shops over the years and this one came out on top, well worth the travel food always freshly cooked and hot no complaints when asking for more salt and vinegar.
Staff very friendly and give u a warm welcome.
Spot on with the portions and food quality priced well.
Will recommend this place to anyone who asks about chippys.
