The quality of the bubble tea is also highlighted as a strength. One comment describes it as the best in Newcastle, while another mentions the range of flavors, toppings, and drink types available. Great flavor and quality are essential factors in a successful bubble tea shop, and Joyo Handmade seems to deliver on this aspect.
The loyalty card system is also mentioned as a strength. This rewards customers with various benefits, such as free toppings and discounted drinks, which adds value to the overall experience. Customers appreciate the opportunity to save money and feel rewarded for their loyalty.
In addition to bubble tea, Joyo Handmade offers a variety of other food items including bubble waffles, desserts, and even hot meals like fried rice. The positive comments also mention the cozy and clean atmosphere of the shop, showcasing the importance of a pleasant environment for customers. The packaging and presentation of the drinks and desserts are also appreciated, indicating attention to detail and aesthetics.
Despite these strengths, there are a few weaknesses highlighted in the comments. One customer mentions a decrease in the quality of the milk tea, particularly the tapioca pearls lacking flavor and freshness. This can be a concerning issue for a bubble tea shop, as the quality and taste of the pearls greatly impact the overall experience.
Another comment expresses disappointment in the lack of customer service. It mentions an order being delivered without a straw and the difficulty in contacting the shop through phone calls. Good customer service is crucial for any business, and these negative experiences can tarnish the shop's reputation and deter potential customers.
In conclusion, Joyo Handmade appears to be a well-loved bubble tea shop in Newcastle, known for its delicious drinks, cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff. The strengths mentioned include passionate staff, high-quality bubble tea, a loyalty card system, diverse menu options, and a clean environment. However, there are some weaknesses highlighted, including a decrease in milk tea quality and poor customer service in terms of missing items in orders and difficulty in contacting the shop. Addressing these weaknesses and maintaining the strengths will be crucial for Joyo Handmade to continue thriving and attracting customers.
Best TL Reviews
We LOVE Joyo's handmade. You can really feel the family passion for the business from the staff that work here. It feels like home to me here and I always feel safe and happy when visiting. You can also see how many others really love the place through the sticky notes all around the place. Bubble tea is top quality here as well as the food and the things they sell next door. Would highly recommend coming here if you are looking to get some bubble tea in Newcastle :))
best boba in newcastle! it’s a little bit on the expensive side compared to bubble cha next door but i think this is more than made up for with their loyalty card system (a reward on every 3rd drink, including 2x free topping, half price drink and a free drink). their range of flavours, toppings and drink types is great and i absolutely love the atmosphere. the customer service is absolutely amazing too - the lady who runs it is an angel. it’s a little small on the inside but this is only ever an issue around the time kids get out of school. they also serve fresh food including bubble waffles, desserts and even fried rice and other hot meals as well as selling snacks, fruit and cheaper drinks from the shelves. definitely one of my favourite places in newcastle, everyone should try it out!!
It really pains me to leave this review as this is a family run shop and we have been a regular since it opened. Even in Covid times, we happily supported the shop.
In our last few visits this year, we have noticed that the quality of the milk tea has decreased significantly to the point that we struggle to find a reason to go back. The tapioca pearls lack flavour and freshness. Moreover, we had noticed that the amount is so disappointingly low that I would struggle to call it “bubble” tea. This is from a customer that constantly pay for additional black sugar tapioca pearls.
After today’s disappointing drinks, we won’t be going back. Both of our drink were tasteless as I am sure they forgot to add sugar. Again, we paid for black sugar pearls but had pearls that were tasteless and were so hard that it was unenjoyable. It honestly felt that I have wasted £11.
Great little boba shop in Haymarket! The boba here is absolutely delicious and there is a wide range of flavours to choose from. And I love that it's open until 1am! My only slight niggle is that there isn't a lot of seating space, but nevertheless, a fabulous place to go for bubble tea.
The best bubble tea shop I've ever been to. Delicious drinks and desserts, fresh ingredients, cute packaging, friendly staff. The place is cozy and clean as well. Will definitely recommend it!
Extremely poor service. Delivered a bubble tea without the straw, how are you supposed to drink the boba and tapioca without the straw. To make matters 10 times worse we tried calling well over 15 times and no reply each time so they don't even look after the phones in the place. Will never ever be back. As if you can forget the key component to a bubble tea which is the straw.
Absolutely amazing, the price is fair for fresh ingredients and amazing service I come here when I visit England and I will be coming here for the foreseeable future to get my drinks.
The best milk tea I have had in the UK???????? that I have tried all the milk tea shops in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Genuine taste of Chinese Milk Tea makes me feel like home ???? Additionally, the owner of the shop is very welcome and kind. This is my second time visiting New Castle and this has been on my must-visit list since my first time came across it by chance. If you wonder how original milk tea tastes, this is where you should go and find it out. Taste/Service are extraordinary, price is average. Definitely recommend after second visit.
