This indicates that the staff is attentive and makes an effort to ensure customer satisfaction. 2. Taste and not expensive: Customers praise the taste of the food at Mel's Cafe, particularly highlighting the burger and fries. Additionally, the comment about the cafe being "great value" indicates that customers feel they are getting good quality food at a reasonable price. 3. Quick service: Several comments mention the quick service at Mel's Cafe, even when they are busy. This suggests that the staff is efficient and prioritizes timeliness in serving customers. 4. Large menu: A customer mentions that Mel's Cafe has a large menu that caters to a variety of preferences. Welcoming atmosphere: A customer mentions that Mel's Cafe has a lovely welcoming atmosphere, which adds to the overall dining experience. This indicates that the cafe creates a comfortable and inviting environment for its customers.
Weaknesses: 1. Appearance: One comment mentions that Mel's Cafe is not one of the prettiest places. While this may not be a critical factor for some customers, it can be a weakness as it may deter potential customers who prioritize the aesthetics of a dining establishment. 2. Inconsistent quality: A customer mentions that their bacon and mushroom rolls were served as sandwiches instead, with tasteless bacon and boiled mushrooms. This indicates a lack of attention to detail in food preparation and a potential inconsistency in the quality of dishes. 3. Tasteless bacon and 50% fat: Another comment mentions that the bacon served at Mel's Cafe was tasteless and contained a high amount of fat. This reflects poorly on the quality of ingredients used, which can be a weakness as it affects the overall taste and enjoyment of the food. 4. Noisy environment: No specific comment mentions this, but if the cafe gets busy, it could potentially result in a noisy atmosphere. Some customers may prefer a quieter dining experience, so this could be a weakness for those individuals. 5. Limited vegetarian options: While not explicitly mentioned in the comments provided, if Mel's Cafe does not offer a wide range of vegetarian options, it could be a weakness for customers who follow a vegetarian diet.
In conclusion, Mel's Cafe has several strengths including nice service, good taste, affordability, quick service, a large menu, and a welcoming atmosphere. However, there are some weaknesses such as the appearance, inconsistent quality, tasteless bacon, potential noisy environment, and limited vegetarian options. Overall, it seems that Mel's Cafe offers a positive dining experience with room for improvement in certain areas.

Nice servise, taste and not expensive food, especially burger and fries. Looks accurate and fresh.
Just what we were looking for :)! A very tasty brekki, very friendly service and all at a great price. It isn't one of the prettiest places but it's a definite must go if you are in the area. Highly recommend and so glad we visited ????.
I called in here today best breakfast I've had in a long time and the service was brilliant when I'm in the area again I will certainly call In.
Have been coming to Mel’s Cafe for many years. The breakfast menu is great and very good value for money. They have a large menu that caters for all. Very quick service even if they’re busy. Lots of table space and free parking on the doorstep. Simon and his staff are always friendly and up for a chat.
Nice find this afternoon.
£5.50 for a small breakfast, toast and a coffee is great value considering I didn't think the breakfast was that all that small.
Quick service but... I asked for bacon and mushroom rolls and was served sandwiches. I didn't bother to complain but ate them. The bacon was tasteless and 50% fat. The mushrooms were boiled. At least the tea tasted fine.
I regularly head to Mel's for breakfast...it has a lovely welcoming atmosphere, the service is quick and the food is great (particularly if you like big portions!) I had my god-daughter with me the other day and Simon was very accommodating, getting out a mini table, chair and toys to keep her entertained whilst we ate :)
Highly recommend!
Fantastic food , lovely staff
