Quick Facts About Castle View Shopping Centre
Castle View Shopping Centre has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. One of its strengths is the presence of a wide range of shops and eateries. With Tesco, four takeaways, Greggs, an off license, a café, and a pub within walking distance, visitors have various options for food and drinks. Additionally, there is an Esquires coffee shop which is highly recommended by one commenter. These establishments are appreciated for their convenience, especially in the early morning hours when people are in need of a quick stop to grab everything they need for the day.
Another strength mentioned is the presence of a car park. While some commenters complain about receiving parking fines, the availability of parking is seen as an advantage for those who prefer to drive to the shopping centre. This makes it convenient for visitors to access the various shops and eateries without having to worry about finding parking elsewhere.
However, the issue of parking fines is a significant weakness of Castle View Shopping Centre. One commenter expressed frustration over receiving a £60 fine a week after registering their car with Parking Eye. They provided evidence of being at the restaurant and registering with the parking website, but their appeal was still refused. This experience can deter visitors from driving to the shopping centre and instead encourage them to walk to avoid the possibility of being fined.
The size of the car park is also mentioned as a weakness. One commenter suggests that the shopping centre could benefit from a larger car park. This suggests that the current car park may not be able to accommodate the number of visitors, potentially leading to difficulty finding a parking space.
The shopping centre is also described as a shadow of its former self. One commenter notes that Argos is no longer present, leaving only pound shops and similar establishments. This implies that the range of shops may have declined over time, resulting in a less diverse shopping experience.
Overall, Castle View Shopping Centre has its strengths such as a variety of shops and eateries, as well as the availability of a car park. However, it also faces weaknesses including issues with parking fines, the need for a larger car park, and a potential decrease in the range of shops. These factors should be considered by potential visitors when deciding whether to visit the shopping centre.

We parked here for our excellent meal at castle gate Indian restaurant so no complaints there. However, we registered our car with parking eye on the night then received a £60 fine a week later! We showed evidence we had been there as well as evidence I registered with the parking eye website but they refused our appeal! It’s such a shame as the restaurant is awesome. We recommend walking there, the meal will be a lot cheaper and the parking eye crooks will lose the opportunity to fleece someone else if their hard earned money!!
I honestly can't remember being here Google! Why are you asking me for a review? Maybe I just drove past? I'm sure it is a lovely place, hence 5 stars. I'm now going to add a picture of my dog before I make a cup of tea & go to bed. ❤️
Great early morning stop.
Personally stop here quiet alot in the morning as you can pretty much grab everything you need for the rest of the day. Id highly recommended esquires coffee shop, It also has a Tesco express, Subway, Greggs snd a few coffee and food shops. Most are open early in the morning ready to set you up for your travel to work and beyond!
Parking fine for using coffee shop!!! Thought I was doing a good thing by supporting a more local coffee shop but next time I'll be taking my money to Starbucks, where I won't get fined a rediculous amount. I get this is not the coffee shops fault but informing me afterwards that they have a QR to allow an extra hours parking is of no use to me now and is quite frustrating actually.
Tescos, four Take aways, Greggs, off license, cafe and a pub . All in walking distance.
Nice little local shops and eateries. Could do with a bigger car park
Shadow of its former self. Argos is gone, now just pound shops etc.
Had a quick visit while visiting my son over the christmas period. We went in to the cafe to get a hot chocolate after we had been out with the dog for a walk . A few shops and parking in the area. X
