Quick Facts About Millie’s
Millie's Place is a small and cozy cafe located in Hurst Green, which serves a variety of food and drinks. The comments provided by customers highlight both the strengths and weaknesses of the cafe.
One recurring theme in the comments is the quality of the food. Many customers praise the deliciousness of the food, with one customer describing it as "top notch" and another recommending it. The cafe offers a variety of options to choose from, including bacon baps, sausage rolls, scrambled eggs, and toast. The home baking is also singled out for its fabulousness. The generosity in portion sizes is noteworthy, with the ice creams and cakes being described as "generously portioned" and "epic" respectively. Overall, the positive comments highlight the quality and taste of the food.
Another strength of Millie's Place mentioned in the comments is the cafe's cozy and friendly atmosphere. Customers describe it as a "lovely little cafe" and a "cute, cosy" spot. The location of the cafe is also mentioned as a positive aspect. It is described as an ideal location and a perfect place for a pit stop when doing the Tolkien trail. Additionally, Hurst Green is described as a lovely village, adding to the charm of the cafe.
However, the comments also highlight some weaknesses of Millie's Place. One recurring issue is the lack of certain items on the menu. One customer also mentions that a simple greeting and courtesy phrases such as "good morning" and "thank you" would be appreciated.
Another potential weakness mentioned is the queue at the cafe. One customer advises picking times carefully to avoid the large queue. While this may indicate popularity and demand for the cafe, it could also be seen as a potential inconvenience for customers who have limited time.
In conclusion, Millie's Place has several strengths including delicious food, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and an ideal location. However, there are also some weaknesses such as the lack of certain menu items, inconsistent quality of hot drinks, inconsistent customer service, and potential queue issues. These areas could be improved to enhance the overall customer experience at the cafe.

Called in for ice creams with our granddaughter after a walk from Dinkley today. No ice cream! Decided on a bacon bap. No bacon! Staff not very welcoming or friendly at all. Had coffee, not the best! Sausage bap ok. Granddaughter had scrambled eggs and toast which was slightly burnt. A lovely little cafe in an ideal location but staff need to up their game. A 'good morning ', 'enjoy your meal ' and 'thank you' would be much appreciated.
Wonderful cozy little cafe;) we stopped in there to charge up our batteries after 9 mile walk;) the cafe is small but serves delicious food...lots to choose from. Recommend it!!!
Nice coffee and a couple of tasty home made sausage rolls. Great value. Hurst Green is a lovely village.
Always good here. Great place for a brew after a good walk.
Love love love this little cafe been numerous times and never disappointed its a perfect place for a pit stop when doing the Tolkien trail. The cakes always look delicious, lovely location can get busy, the food is fab !
Excellent place to stop off for a brew and snack on a lovely. Fabulous home baking, and wonderful staff make it a hard to beat special cafe. A great place to start or end one of the lovely walks from the village. Understandably popular with cyclists so it can get very crowded when a group stop for a break.
Delicious hot drinks and ice creams which were generously portioned. Also had homemade shortbread which was top notch. The other cakes looked epic and were also generous in size, although not a huge selection. Not too expensive either. The down size of this positivity was quite a large queue so pick your times carefully. ????
Cute, cosy and friendly staff! Very fresh and tasty! Lovely little end to our trip - thanks! ????
