Quick Facts About Mini's Wine Bar & Eatery

Mini's Wine Bar & Eatery has several strengths based on the comments provided. Firstly, the new owners of the restaurant are praised for being very friendly, suggesting that they have created a welcoming atmosphere for customers. The fact that the place has been redecorated and looks nice also adds to the overall appeal.
Customers also commend the attentive service they received at Mini's. From putting up decorations for special occasions to going above and beyond with birthday cakes, the staff at Mini's are described as providing excellent service and creating a family-friendly environment. This is an important strength as it shows that the restaurant is customer-focused and willing to go the extra mile to make diners feel special.
In terms of the food, Mini's receives positive feedback for both taste and value for money. The Groupon voucher option is mentioned as being great value, indicating that the restaurant offers affordable dining options. Specific dishes are praised, such as the gluten-free options and the Sunday roast. The compliments on the food quality suggest that Mini's provides delicious meals, and the generous portions are mentioned as well.
The cleanliness of the restaurant is also highlighted in the comments. Customers consistently mention that Mini's is spotless and well-maintained, creating a pleasant dining environment. This demonstrates a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene, which is particularly important during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Another strength of Mini's Wine Bar & Eatery is the owner's involvement in the dining experience. In one comment, the owner takes the time to provide details on the menu and wine choices, showing a personal touch and a passion for the restaurant. This level of engagement can enhance the overall dining experience for customers.
Despite these strengths, there are a few potential weaknesses that can be inferred from the comments. Firstly, although the restaurant is praised for its food quality and value for money, it is unclear how diverse the menu options are. While customers mention enjoying their meals, there is no mention of specific dishes beyond the Sunday roast and the steak and ale pie. This lack of detail suggests that the menu may not be as extensive or varied as some customers may prefer.
Another potential weakness is the lack of feedback on the ambiance of the restaurant. While the comments mention that the place looks nice and the atmosphere is good, there are no specific details or descriptions provided. This suggests that the ambiance may be average or unremarkable, and it may be beneficial for the restaurant to work on creating a more distinctive and memorable atmosphere to further enhance the dining experience.
In conclusion, Mini's Wine Bar & Eatery has several strengths based on the comments provided. The new owners have created a friendly atmosphere, the restaurant has been redecorated, the service is attentive, and the food is tasty and affordable. However, there may be room for improvement in terms of menu variety and enhancing the overall ambiance. Nonetheless, these strengths position Mini's as a promising dining option for customers.

Not Minis anymore.
New owners. Very friendly. Place redecorated and looking very nice. Haven't yet had the opportunity to dine here so my stars represent a neutral opinion, for now. It is an appealing option to dine in this freshly updated restaurant and I plan to do so soon.
Very attentive meal and tasty too :) we went on a Groupon voucher which is great value for money, would fully recommend it and try the soup!
Amazing sunday lunch, just 9.95 for 3 courses and made gluten free for me. Very tasty and the service is always spot on. Love this place
Great food, fantastic service. Went for a birthday meal for my little boy, booked only a few hours in advance but they had already put up a banner for him and decorated the table! The manager was so welcoming and it felt really family friendly, the kids loved their meals and our food was delicious. We took along a birthday cake and not only did they put a sparkler in it for us but they served us beautifully decorated slices, they cut the best bits off for the kids and served with cream and chocolate sauce. Above and beyond what was expected, thank you for a lovely evening! ????
Booked in to Mini's for two tables of five after attending a family funeral. Nothing was too much trouble, the home cooked food was absolutely delicious and everyone enjoyed their choices. The restaurant is spotless and all covid precautions are adhered to, so we felt very comfortable. We have visited Mini's on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed the experience but today Alison and her staff surpassed themselves with their excellent standards and care. Best restaurant in the town, please support it as much as you can during these difficult times as it is a gem. Thanks again Alison and her staff, Gaynor and Steve.
My husband has already submitted a review but I wanted to do my own. Our children booked sunday lunch for family as a wedding anniversary gift.
The decor is simple, fresh, light and airy. Minis is spotless!!!! You can smell the cleanliness as soon as you walk in the door.
Alison, the owner, greeted us. She was warm and friendly whilst being totally professional. A lovely, lovely lady. We all ordered variations of the Sunday roast dinner menu. My daughter had told us the food was good.
My opinion of the food is that it was not GOOD but EXCELLENT!!!!
I am very fussy when eating out and my husband always comments that there is ALWAYS a BUT with my opinion on the food and very, very rarely am I a 10 out of 10 person.
I can honestly say my meal was beautiful and everyone in our party agreed. Couldn't believe it was only £9.95 for three courses, and generous portions they were. Beautifully presented. I'll definately be back and would highly recommend a visit if you enjoy good food and decent portions!!!
This was really one of the best, if not the best, restaurant I've been to. The service was amazing with the owner taking the time to give us details on everything on the menu and also explain the choice of wines. The food was amazing and so was the atmosphere. We selected from the specials menu. In particular I have to say my steak and ale pie was the best I have ever had.

Just visited this fabulous restaurant on the main road leading to Lord Street, Southport and what a gem. Ally the owner and friend Wendy were superb hosts. The 3 courses we had were absolutely delicious and cooked to your preference, full of flavours and using fresh ingredients. The menu was varied and would suit everyone's taste, the portions were large, well presented and great value for money. I would also recommend the Rose wine with your meal which came free with some of the meals (sweet and fruity). A special mention to the Chef (Mini) who is Ally's son, for the wonderful tasty food which we all enjoyed, could not fault anything about this restaurant, will definitely go again and recommend to family and friends.
