Quick Facts About Moat Cafe

Moat Cafe, based on the comments provided, has several strengths. Firstly, the location of the cafe is advantageous for HGV drivers as it is rare to find establishments that cater to their needs, especially in built-up areas. The ample parking specifically designed for class 1 drivers is also a positive feature.
The cleanliness of both the inside and outside of the cafe is highly appreciated by customers. The absence of litter and overflowing bins outside creates a pleasant environment, while the clean and well-laid out seating arrangement inside contributes to a comfortable atmosphere. The warm and welcoming ambiance of the cafe is also mentioned, implying that it is a pleasant place to spend time.
Another strengths lies in the wide and varied menu offered by Moat Cafe. Customers mention that the food is cooked to order, ensuring a delicious and piping hot meal. The description of fresh vegetables and delicious meats suggests that the quality of ingredients used is appreciated by customers. The value for money aspect is also highlighted, indicating that the prices are reasonable for the portion sizes and quality of food provided.
The friendly and exceptional service received at Moat Cafe is highly praised in the comments. Customers mention being welcomed upon arrival and receiving great service throughout their visit. The staff is described as nice, welcoming, and helpful. This level of service contributes to the positive experience of customers and encourages them to return.
Despite its strengths, there are also some areas that Moat Cafe can improve upon. One mentioned weakness is the lack of overnight parking and WiFi. Since HGV drivers may require overnight parking, offering this service would attract more customers and potentially increase business. Additionally, providing WiFi would cater to the needs of customers who might want to work or browse the internet during their visit.
Expanding the operating hours to become a 24-hour truck stop is suggested as a way to capitalize on the potential for increased revenue. This would allow drivers who operate during the night to also benefit from the services provided by Moat Cafe.
Overall, Moat Cafe seems to have several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. The location, cleanliness, menu variety, food quality, and exceptional service are all praised by customers. However, there are a few areas for improvement such as offering overnight parking, WiFi, and considering becoming a 24-hour truck stop. By addressing these weaknesses, Moat Cafe has the potential to further enhance its customer experience and attract a wider range of customers.

Very clean with a warm atmosphere I was welcomed upon my arrival, and given exceptional service.

All food is cooked to order ensuring a delicious piping hot meal with great value for money
Fresh vegetables and delicious meats, make this truck stop one that I will definitely be coming back too, as the service and food is without doubt some of the best I have eaten on the road.
There is no overnight parking here, nor WiFi, but if this was added to the venue, and made into a 24 hour truck stop, I am sure that a fortune would easily be made.
A superb cafe and trucks top, with the warmth and welcome that mancunians and Manchester is so well known for.
Long may it continue for them
Been coming to this place since it was called the bug hut in the 70s and 80s with dad in his lorry, now come here in my own lorry. Still a great place for a breakfast at a good price. Staff are always friendly. For a 3 minute diversion off the M6 you can have a nicely cooked meal instead of the usual fast food rubbish on the nearby services.
I called in here on the off chance with a colleague from Stoke on our way to a meeting in wigan (we both work in plant transport and rail) We both agreed it was a generous and very nice breakfast. No complaints, The service was friendly and the food Definitely value for money. Delicious and filling. I highly recommend this cafe. There's penty of parking for vans / cars and turning for artics.
Lovely place, very clean and tidy, nice staff very welcoming. Huge portions and tasty food. We'll be back for sure.
