Quick Facts About New Yeung Chow

New Yeung Chow place has received a mix of positive and negative comments, offering insights into both its strengths and weaknesses.
Starting with the strengths, one comment mentions that the food is great and the staff friendly. This indicates that the quality of the food is consistently good and the staff provide a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Another comment highlights the crispy batter on the chicken balls, indicating that the food is well-prepared and not greasy. The special rice is also praised for being packed with prawns, chicken, beef, and pork, suggesting that the portion sizes are generous and the ingredients are fresh. The comment about the curry sauce being amazing further emphasizes the quality of the food.
Further strengths include the efficiency of the service. One customer mentions that their order was ready in a few minutes, indicating that the takeaway is able to provide fast service. The availability of parking and a nearby cash machine is also seen as a convenience for customers.
Moving onto the weaknesses, a significant issue mentioned in the comments is the closure of the restaurant due to a fire. Although this is not directly related to the quality of the food or service, it may affect customers' ability to access the restaurant. Additionally, the comment expresses concern for the well-being of the staff.
Another weakness mentioned is the difficulty in placing an order over the phone. One customer mentions that they were unable to reach anyone despite trying since half past five. This suggests that there may be an issue with the restaurant's phone system or staffing. This could result in frustrated customers and potential loss of business.
In terms of the food itself, there is one negative comment that outlines several issues. The sweet and sour dish is described as too sour and tasting like vinegar, indicating a lack of balance in flavors. The chips are also criticized for being soggy, which suggests a lack of proper cooking technique. The pancake rolls are described as having too much pepper, bean sprouts, and spiciness, indicating a potential issue with the flavor profile and ingredient ratios. The 3-in-1 deal is criticized for undercooked chips and disgusting curry sauce. Finally, the crispy beef dish is simply described as tasting awful. This negative comment highlights potential inconsistencies in food quality and flavor.
Overall, the strengths of New Yeung Chow place include great food, friendly staff, efficient service, and convenient parking. However, the weaknesses include closure due to a fire, difficulty in placing phone orders, and occasional inconsistencies in food quality and flavor.

I really hope they reopen again soon after the fire, and that they are all OK.
I absolutely loved my King Prawn Chow Mein (with rice and onions), and chips with rice and curry sauce. I fancied some tonight and discovered they are still shut.
The food is great, and the staff friendly (met them out shopping once in Hyperama).
Although we have moved out of the area we keep returning for our Chinese takeaways. We have tried several different Chinese takeaways in our area of West Bridgford & nothing has come anywhere near as close. Great food and great customer services
Lovely fresh tasty food. Crispy batter on the chicken balls not greasy at all. Special rice packed with prawns/chicken/beef and pork. Chow mien in just the right amount of sauce. The curry sauce is amazing too. Prawn crackers tasty and not at all greasy. Will definitely order again.
Just missed out on an order, as nobody answered the phone. Been ringing since half 5.
Me and my family had a takeaway last night. The only thing nice about it was the rice. The sweet and sour dish was to sour tasted like vinegar. The chips were soggy. The pancake rolls were full of pepper and bean sprouts and to spicy. The 3 in 1 deal the chips were undercooked and the curry sauce was disgusting. The crispy beef dish just tasted awful will not be ordering from here again.
First time I have used this Chinese takeaway and have to say it was very good. The batter on the chicken balls and spring rolls was crispy and light and the sweet and sour sauce was really tasty without being over sweet and sticky. Pleasant front counter staff took my order which was ready in a few minutes whilst I sat waiting. They also do telephone orders. Parking is available just outside with a handy cash machine next door.
Best Chinese take away in Clifton by far and probably best in Nottingham. I’ve tried a lot! Portion size is great, really tasty without being overly salty or oily. Tasted the same for years and years. Pancake rolls are exceptional and the house special chow mien is great.
I’ve used New Yeung Chow for many years and they always deliver hot, quality food. I’ve never had any complains.
