Just moved to the area and needed to find a new chippy, job done! Nice light batter, tasty chips and nice curry sauce with a bit of zing. Danny came over to chat, the rest of the crew were all really friendly. Worth a try if you haven't been yet.
It is always service with a smile, not matter how busy they are. On a Friday and Saturday queues are out the door. Father Danny, and Son Anil are both welcoming. Pat and Joe, make up the core, with others helping out. This is one of the pillars of the Old Coulsdon Community, and the best Chippy around.
I travelled from Streatham in order to explore the village of Old Coulsdon which I have driven though many times.I came across Danny’s Fish and Chip shop by chance and decided to see what it was like.Danny greeted me when I arrived and was most pleasant.I must say that the fish and chips was some of the finest that I have ever tasted and at a very reasonable price and a large portion.
If I am ever in the area again I shall pop in again.I can highly recommend this place,

Get yourself to Danny's in Old Coulsdon, then you'll find out what you've been missing. I've never tasted batter like it before I discovered Danny's. And I've been to some of the best fish and chip shops around. The batter is not only scrumptious but, nice and crispy. The chips are to die for and leave you wanting more. Also taste the cod roe, Danny's roe with his batter, its out of this world. The portions are very generous too. So get yourself to Danny's Old Coulsdon. You won't be sorry.
