Quick Facts About New York Nails & Spa
New York Nails & Spa has received mixed reviews from customers. While some customers had negative experiences and expressed dissatisfaction with the salon, others had positive experiences and praised the quality of service provided. In order to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of the salon, let's analyze the comments provided.
One of the biggest weaknesses that stands out is the lack of communication and customer service. Several customers mentioned that the staff members were more interested in talking amongst themselves rather than attending to their needs. This lack of attention and poor communication is a major weakness for any service-oriented business.
Another weakness highlighted by customers is the lack of attention to detail and quality in the services provided. Many customers complained about their nails being done poorly, including issues like rough edges, mismatched or wrong color choices, and even nails that were uncomfortable or painful. These issues point to a lack of skill and attention to detail on the part of the technicians.
Customers also expressed frustration with the salon's failure to meet their specific requests and preferences. In several instances, customers requested a certain type of nail style or color, only to have the technician do something completely different. This lack of adherence to customer preferences is a weakness that can lead to unhappy customers and negative reviews.
Based on the comments, it seems that the salon's prices may be another weakness. Some customers mentioned feeling that the prices were too high for the quality of service they received. One customer even stated that they paid $50 for a basic nail service that they were not satisfied with. This indicates that the salon may have an issue with overcharging customers for subpar services.
Despite the negative experiences and weaknesses mentioned, there are also some strengths that can be noted. One positive aspect highlighted by a customer was the efficiency and quick service they received. This suggests that the salon is capable of handling a busy day and providing timely service to customers.
Additionally, some customers were satisfied with specific technicians who provided good service. It's worth noting that one customer specifically mentioned Ms. Amy, who did an "AMAZING" job on their nails. This indicates that there may be competent and skilled technicians at the salon, but the consistency of service quality seems to be an issue.
Another strength mentioned by a customer was the quality of pedicures at the salon. They described it as the "best pedicure" they had in a while. This suggests that the salon may excel in certain services, such as pedicures, while lacking in others.
In conclusion, New York Nails & Spa has several weaknesses that are apparent from the comments provided by customers. These include poor communication, lack of attention to detail, failure to meet customer preferences, and potentially high prices for subpar services. However, there are also strengths mentioned, such as quick service and quality pedicures. To improve, the salon should focus on improving communication, ensuring consistent high-quality service, and addressing customer preferences effectively.

I will not be coming back to this nail salon ever again. i went there for a full set and came back out with big oval nails worst nails salon i’ve ever been too NEVER WILL I EVER COME BACK HERE !!!!! definitely don’t deserve one star more like none
First time and last time I would go here. The young lady was more interested in speaking to the other manicurist than to me. She didn’t give me a choice of color for my pedicure except to say red and she started painting them without a base coat and for my manicure she said no color which I thought ok a clear coat was fine but she mentioned no nail polish. I had to have her add a clear coat after she was done. She clipped the toe nails but left them rough as she did my finger nails. Even after I asked her to make them smoother she still left some sharp edges. I told the man who took my money about it and all he said was sorry and I’ll take care of you next time, which will of course be never. He did say he will speak to her. Oh and I still have a bit of red on the edges of my nails from the previous manicure.
I came in for a pedicure. I signed my name in the book and put down that I wanted a pedicure with gel polish. I wait 30 mins to be sat in the chair (which is fine they were busy) but the girl starts clipping my toenails and never puts water in the bowl. I figured she just has a different routine than others. No. She asks what color I wanted. I replied are you not going to do the pedicure. She immediately got an attitude and said you asked for gel polish. I said yes and a pedicure it's written down. She argued with me about it and slammed the toe separators back on the table. I told her to just paint my toes and not worry about the pedicure. I will never return to this establishment.
HORRIBLE . MY NAILS WERE NOT CUTE. we told her exactly what i wanted and she kept pushing other stuff onto us . she put gel on when we strictly said regular polish i got plain blue nails and they were 50 bucks. i went in wanting to get my regular nails painted and walked out with acrylics and gel. i will never go back. the lady has an attitude when my mom told her abt herself and she kept getting up during my appointment to do other things . do not listen to these reviews those are ppl that just have money to blow.
The worst!!! The end!!! I asked for French tips not Chinese tips tf!!! They ugly and look grown out!! Please listen to me and don’t go!!! I will not steer u wrong!!
I went in to NY Nails for the first time and I definitely won’t be back… I always get long stilettos any time I get my nails done(which is often). The nail tech who was doing my nails only had one type of tip(which is one I never use because I dislike the shape/curvature of them) forcing me to get nails shorter than I wanted, they had no black or grey polishes, and she was extremely rough on my hands. I have acrylic all over my fingers and acrylic that went way off the nail plate on one finger which is uncomfortable. She charged 75$ which is outrageous considering my nails are nothing special. No designs or anything special. Just short, red stiletto nails. My sister had hers done as well and her tech did a poor job on shaping and painting her nails. I’m in school to be a nail tech and to charge more than 50$ for the nails I got would be unheard of. They charged her 55$ and neither of us are too happy with our nails. Needless to say we won’t be coming back. Too expensive for basic full sets that look mediocre…
Went here the day before the fourth I loved the fact that we got in and out with no issues or long wait. Ms.Amy booth 11 did an AMAZING job. She took her time and all I will definitely be going back. The only reason they didn't get all five stars is because I had short nails and it was still a bit on the expensive side to me but other then that they were AMAZING ????
I recommend this business for pedicures. I don't recommend it for acrylic nails unless you are VERY clear about what you want. If you're timid at all they will do what they want.be clear and polite. Best pedicure I've had in a while though
