Quick Facts About Nikki African Hair Braiding
Nikki African Hair Braiding place has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers. In order to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the salon, we will look at the comments provided.
One recurring criticism in the comments is that the salon did not provide a satisfactory service. Customers mentioned uneven parts, feeding braids instead of knotless braids, and hair that did not look good in the back and middle. This indicates a lack of attention to detail and inability to fulfill customer requests. Additionally, some customers were dissatisfied with the duration of their hairstyles, with one customer stating that her daughter's braids only lasted a week. This suggests a lack of longevity and quality in the braiding technique used by the salon.
Several customers also mentioned issues with professional behavior and customer service. One customer felt that the staff was unprofessional, while another mentioned a broken card reader and being asked to go to an ATM to get cash. This displays a lack of organization and consideration for customers' convenience. Another customer cited difficulties with scheduling and appointments, waiting for an extended period of time and not receiving the requested style. This indicates potential issues with time management and communication within the salon.
On the positive side, there were a few customers who had good experiences and praised specific stylists. These customers mentioned the skills, warmth, and customer service of certain stylists, which suggests that there are competent and friendly staff members at the salon. One customer also appreciated the professional setting and clean environment of the salon, as well as the crispness of the parts in her daughter's hair. These comments highlight the potential for high-quality work and a pleasant atmosphere at the salon.
Despite these positive aspects, it is important to note that the overall sentiment in the comments leans towards dissatisfaction. The negative experiences described by customers outweigh the positive ones, indicating that there may be significant weaknesses in the services provided by Nikki African Hair Braiding place.
Based on the comments, the strengths of Nikki African Hair Braiding place seem to include the skills and customer service of specific stylists, as well as a professional setting and clean environment. On the other hand, the weaknesses appear to be a lack of attention to detail, difficulty in fulfilling customer requests, issues with professional behavior, time management, and communication, as well as potentially inadequate product usage and inconsistency in hair color availability.
In conclusion, Nikki African Hair Braiding place has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. The salon seems to have talented and friendly stylists, as well as a clean and professional environment. However, there are significant areas that need improvement, such as attention to detail, communication, and customer service. Addressing these weaknesses would allow the salon to provide a better overall experience for customers and enhance their reputation in the market.

I will not recommend this salon. My first experience was a very unpleasant one. My first sign of this unpleasant experience was as i walked into the salon, and ask if they were taking walk-in and how much it will cost to get my hair wash and braided knotless, and if i needed to get cash or would i be able to use my bank card. The stylist said the price was $260.00 for the braids and $10.00 for the wash. She did not use conditioner and attempt to shampoo my hair twice, not using any hair oils, vaseline, moose ect. I did ask for knotless, and walk out of the salon with feeding braids, my parts were so uneven, and because they did feeding braids it did not look good at all. It was hard for me to do different styles with the hair because my parts were so uneven. And whats so upsetting about this entire situation is that they charge you so much for braids, and to the front it looks good and when it comes to the back and the middle they tend to do whatever they want.
My next upsetting experience was while getting my hair done the stylist said the the card reader was broken and i needed to get cash from an ATM two corners away, which by the way charge you $3.00 per transaction and only $100.00 per transaction. Please don't get me wrong i was willing to pay whatever it cost to get my hair done but all i needed was to be happy when leaving.
And lets not talk about the unprofessionalism of the staff.

I just want to let anyone interested in getting hair done at this business you will not regret it! They are great at what they do! Very professional and kind people. I had a mishap with my hair and they fixed it even better than what I expected. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. I’ve never experienced anything great with any braiding shop in raleigh. They completely changed my views of what a braid shop means. They handle there business very well and get the job done ! They don’t play ! These ladies are the best in my book !
My daughter (12) had a great experience! She got knotless Box braids it's to her waist. Professional setting, clean clean environment, and the parts were so crisp. This was our 1st time coming to Nikki's, my daughter said it didn't hurt at all which is huge!! She is very tenderheaded ???? Great pricing$$$
I called last Saturday and asked could I come in for Large Knotless braids Nikki advised me I could come in at 4pm. She called back at 3:45pm and asked if I could come at 6. I got there at 6 and the lady that was supposed to be doing my hair was still working with a client. I sat there until 7pm, I text Nikki and asked her could I get a discount for having to wait and she said no because the rate went up. I already knew the stylist couldn't do the style I wanted because she kept asking to see the picture. On day 2 my hair looked like I had it in for 3 weeks already. She did not use enough product on my hair and the wrong product at that. Nikki told me to swing by the shop so she could look at it. I came and she advised me she would fix it for me personally and redo it. I asked her could I get another style instead that I know is the same price and she said I would have to at least pay half. I called the next day when I was supposed to have my appointment and inquired about another style because I don't feel like they specialize in the style I originally wanted and she said no and that she was never going to redo my hair but only add edge control. She is money hungry and does not keep her word.
I love going to Mrs. Nikki I have been going there for years now she always does my hair so neat and pretty and . My box braids are always at least waist length and she does them all neatly and in a timely manner. I have MS and love to get my hair braided when I can. I don't trust any place else to do them.
I've gone to this salon several times. The first 2 times I had a good experience. The 4 times after have been terrible. I book the appointment days in advance, and give the hair color wanted over the phone. The last 2 visits they did not have the color I requested. I had to use what was available. I showed a PICTURE of the style and length I wanted. I was told length would be $200. When the stylists were done I asked again if I still had to pay $200?? Stylists said yes. My hair was not the color or length request at the beginning of the appointment. This has happened several times. This will be my last visit here. I can't waste another $200 on poor service. My hair is 4-5 inches shorter than the photo I showed to them. And the hair looks horrible. I regret going. I have posted a photo. It says wanted (which is a photo of their own work) VS what I actually got!
