Quick Facts About Peking Garden
Peking Garden has received a mix of positive and negative feedback based on the comments provided. In order to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the restaurant, we will analyze the comments and identify recurring themes.
One significant strength mentioned in the comments is the quality of the food. Some customers praised the dishes, particularly the chicken fried rice, noodles, and curry. This suggests that the restaurant has the ability to create delicious meals that are enjoyed by many. Additionally, the prices were also mentioned as being reasonable, indicating that customers feel they are getting good value for their money.
Another strength is the availability of parking spaces nearby. This can be a convenience factor for customers, especially in areas with limited parking options. Customers appreciate this convenience and it can contribute to a positive dining experience.
However, there are several weaknesses that have been highlighted in the comments. The most common criticism is the poor quality of the food. Multiple customers mentioned that the food was bland and of low quality. Specific complaints include soggy spring rolls, chewy pork, and too much salt in the char sui noodles. These comments indicate a lack of consistency in the preparation and execution of dishes. This weakness in food quality can significantly impact the overall dining experience and discourage customers from returning.
Another weakness mentioned is the poor service. One customer reported waiting for three hours for a delivery that never arrived, despite being told they were next in line. This indicates a lack of organization and reliability in the restaurant's delivery service. Another customer expressed dissatisfaction with the management and delivery driver, describing them as outrageous. This suggests that there may be issues with customer service and professionalism within the establishment.
In addition, the policy regarding refunds and deliveries raises concerns. One customer claimed they had incomplete orders on multiple occasions and when they requested a refund, they were informed that the restaurant no longer delivers to their address. This inconsistency in service and misunderstanding of the customer's needs can lead to frustration and a loss of trust in the establishment.
Finally, there was a complaint regarding the handling of a severe fish allergy. The customer stated that despite explaining the allergy, their order arrived covered in traces of fish. When they sought clarification on whether they would be charged for the replacement, they were initially told they would not be. However, upon the delivery driver's return, they were aggressively told they needed to pay. This incident demonstrates a lack of understanding and sensitivity towards customer needs, particularly regarding allergies.
In conclusion, Peking Garden has received praise for its food quality and reasonable prices. However, it also faces several weaknesses including poor food quality, unreliable delivery service, inconsistent customer service, and a lack of sensitivity towards customer needs. These weaknesses can significantly impact the overall dining experience and may discourage customers from returning in the future. Ultimately, the restaurant will need to address these issues in order to retain and attract customers.

The worst Chinese we've ever had. Everything was bland and very poor quality.
We ordered a variety of starters but they were all poor. From totally soggy spring rolls to the salt & chilli ribs which were 1" long pieces of boney gristle. Servedon a huge bed of onions.
Char Sui noodles were dark with soy which made them too salty and the pork was inedible and chewy.
It was also £10 more than we had expected. Won't be going back. So disappointing.
Waited 3 hours for a delivery. Rang multiple times to be told I was next in line, still no show. Never known anything like it.
Great food at good prices. Great service and parking spaces nearby
NEVER ASK FOR A REFUND ON A DELIVERY even though it’s their mistake. Food is good but the service is the worst I have ever experienced. Waiting time on a delivery is usually over an hour which is to be expected and I appreciate that it’s busy. I was a regular customer ordering once or twice a week. On my last three orders my order was incomplete. On the third occasion I cancelled my order and asked for a refund. Which they happily gave back or so I thought!! When another family member tried to place an order a week later they said they don’t deliver to your address any more.!! What a laugh!
Does a great chicken fried rice and the noodles and curry are lovely can get very busy though so maybe best to order ahead and they only take cash payment.
I've only been here twice but its turning into my favourite Chinese in Bangor. The Black bean sauce is incredible.
Lovely food but I think they have cut back on meat In there portions , not the same.
Food no complaints but management and delivery driver outrageous
After explaining that a member of our group is severely allergic to fish my response was (we aren’t a chippy) ok fine ask for our order then it arrives find out it is covered in traces of fish so we call up say again the problem it is then cleared up and we get a replacement we ask if we will be charged we are told no so we wait and then arrives
We are told to pay we explain that we were told we wouldn’t be changed delivery driver then excuses himself to call back we wait next thing aggressively knocks on my door and we are aggressively told no it’s not free of charge and told the amount to pay
I calmly say then we no longer want it the delivery driver then starts to call us all names under the sun and calls us liars
This continues for a few minutes and I am autistic person freaks out and pays the man and calmly asks him to leave
I am not at all happy with this behaviour and will not order from this premises ever again
